The hotel is simple, very central and friendly. It is barely signposted and along a tiny street so quite hard to find (streets are so narrow its not obvious). Very close to the central square and a nice place to stay.

The hotel is quirky and unusual with snail shell shaped rooms and a North African design theme throughout. The food is excellent, a small menu but extremely well done. The real selling point of this hotel is the views, they are spectacular. Your eating your meals whilst looking down the mountain to the sea, viewing the small towns and little white villas clinging to the hillside. At the coast line you have Nerja a bustling tourist town with a good market and even better ice cream parlours, only a 30 minute drive. As if this wasn't enough it's inexpensive, the rooms are cheap, as is the food. If you want a couple of days peace and quiet, a place to unwind, de-stress....this is it!

Went in a group of 6 female friends. I booked the hotel at random through Experia because it was cheap and was not in an overly touristy resort. The town is very unprepossessing, no good if you want to spend time sightseeing and looking round a quaint area, but we were just there for a long weekend of relaxation. I didn't have high expectations of the hotel when booking it, but the cleanliness of the rooms and the helpfulness of the staff could not be faulted. Our rooms were comfortable and quite spacious. The rooftop pool is a good size and there are also sheltered sunbeds nearby. The hotel was literally 2 mins walk from the lovely promenade which is lined with lovely tapas bars and restaurants. We can heartily recommend the sangria at Bar Rafael. The Torrox area claims to have the best climate in Europe. The resort is very authentically Spanish - there were lots of Spanish week-enders but hardly any English there, and the cost of living was very reasonable,
