Seems like the rooms are quite new, but... - There is no door handle (room 102) - The fridge was scarcely cold - The fridge isn't well mounted and wobbly - Having a cabinet door to open before you open the fridge makes no sense; it's just in the way - It takes forever to heat the place up - it would make sense to turn the heat on a bit before guests arrive Helpful and kind receptionist, nice room and bed overall.

This property is currently undergoing a complete renovation. They put us in one of the recently renovated rooms and it was very nicely done. Fresh paint, new floors and all new furniture. Looking forward to seeing it all done soon. Love that it's pet friendly and walking distance to multiple restaurants and grocery store. Highly recommend a stay here if you don't want o spend $300 a night

My husband, twin toddler daughters, dog and I spent a night at this motel for the first time. We were up from Nanaimo just for the night and usually just look for somewhere cheap to stay. The price was very good, and we were told we were in a newly renovated room. We loved it!!! Clean and nice and had everything we needed. Area was great and the staff member I dealt with was very nice. Will stay here again!

Property was under renovation. Outdoor lighting was not lit sign on the road was not lit. Find the motel on a dark rainy night was difficult. We had a renovated king room which was very nice. I was asked to share here any thoughts I had to improve it. A light near the coffee maker it was a dark corner, with usb for phone charging. A mat inside the door as well as the one outside. I am sure once all the rooms are finished it will good. Please get the out door lights working asap.

The room was very dated. The bathtub had a cracked face. Cups were not covered in plastic as most motel/hotel are. The front desk service was not there upon arrival. I had to text after waiting 10 mins.

I booked a king bed and received a call a day before my arrival asking for when I would be checking in. This was a day early and I had to reassure them multiple times for when I booked and after a few calls back and forth they had told me they had booked all the king bed rooms and that they wouldn’t be able to provide one now. When I shared my feelings about this they made no effort to correct it and instead offered free cancellation. Spend the extra money and save yourself a headache.

Hi Matthew, as discussed over the phone and in-person. We received the booking on our system as on day earlier which is why we called you a day before you were expected to arrive. Unfortunately, I am unsure as to why your reservation date was inconsistent to what you booked online as it was an Expedia error. Nonetheless we offered you a free upgrade to a 2Queen room, which you accepted, as we were sold out of the King rooms in addition to a free cancellation. I understand that you feel that additional concessions were needed but we did our best to offer an appropriate response to the situation. I hope that you still enjoyed your visit to the west coast.

Penninsula Inn has always been our fave place to stay unfortunately no property manager on site & the outside noise from other clients & random kids in parking lot left us with a sleepless night…..then at 3 am just wen we fell asleep tenants in an above room carried on like overweight elephants making enough noise to cause us to leave-We will not be retiring it was a horrible night for us our day plans had to be cancelled as we hadn’t slept!!

A very basic motel room with limited amenities. The front desk staff was pleasant and the room was clean. I am not likely to recommend it to friends or family but it suited our needs for the evening we were in Ucluelet
