"The hosts were good at communicating ahead of time. When I arrived I was met promptly and shown a room different from my booking (3rd floor, not first floor). They then tried to charge me an additional and previously unmentioned cleaning fee (which I did not pay). The hot tub in the basement was not hot. It was an unheated tub of water, and while there were jets, there was no way to make it warm. This was my most expensive accommodation in Malta, and I choose it for the hot tub, so to discover...

"This hotel is in a fabulous location with probably the best views of the grand harbour in Valletta. The decor is a little tired and old fashioned - they should really get rid of the cushions in the beds - but everything is spotlessly clean and in good working order. The staff are very helpful and friendly and go out of their way to assist you in any way they can. The breakfast is fresh and plentiful to set you up for the day. Our room was huge with a wrap around view out onto the harbour - simply wonderful although it would have been nice to have a nice comfy chair to sit and enjoy the view rather than a table and chair. The hotel is based very closed to lots of great bars and the main Merchant Street strip. This was our second stay and I know we will definitely stay again. "
