Thank you for your feedback Michael we are glad you enjoyed the location. I am a bit confused however as the carpet in the unit is just under 3 years old and is cleaned thoroughly at least once a year (generally late November each year) and being on the 3rd floor, nothing really gets tracked up that far from outside. Same for the common areas as the carpet was new last fall (2022), and was cleaned just prior to the Thanksgiving weekend you stayed. Yes, the ceiling fan in the living room with 22 foot ceilings present a challenge to dust after the summers but they have subsequently been attended to, thank you. Air conditioning is moved from the units at the start of October each year as there is no need at that time of year, daytime temps averaged about 58F during the day and 46F during the nights over your stay. With respect to the noise, the property is located in a resort so there will be some ambient noise however what occurs in the benchlands area is very muted. Portabello's, the restaurant located across the walkway is only open 7am-4pm on weekdays and 7am-8pm on weekends with most of the activity taking place within the Chateau Whistler hotel (very small seating outside). The Fitzsimmons Pub does stay open later however it only seats about 30 and outside seating is strictly shut down after 10pm. Hopefully this provides a bit more context to your concerns.

We are happy that you enjoyed our property and, other than the reported situations, enjoyed your stay. As owners in the Glacier Lodge we expect that all guests will be will be warmly welcomed by the front desk staff and treated with respect . It is disturbing to us that you encountered someone who did not reflect this. We have reported the situation to the contractor who manages the front desk for the property and have been assured that it will be addressed. We apologize for this situation on their behalf. With respect to the swimming pool at the property we have the following observations to pass on, as your families experience was a bit of a surprise to us. Given the summer of 2020 has thrown many new challenges to the operation of pools, the facility is monitored multiple time daily and chemicals are attended too with the water in the pool being balanced daily. Additionally, all the pool deck furniture is “fogged” with a disinfectant called “vital oxide” to mitigate the risk of COVID and other viruses between each “booking”. This product is safe and non toxic. Hand sanitizing stations are also in place for guest use. Currently, as you were probably made aware, staff let guests in for pre-booked 1 hour sessions which are set up by appointment. The pool area is checked after each use and monitored throughout the day to ensure that the area is limited to 10 people at a time. We have reported your pool experience to the Strata Manager for their follow up. I hope that this assures you and your family that the property is very much on top of the cleaning practise's with respect to the outdoor pool. Hi Tom, We are pleased to hear you enjoyed staying in this location in the Upper Village. It is nicely tucked away from the central Village but so close at the same time. Being right at the base of Blackcomb is a great location year round. We're very disappointed to hear about the cleaning in the apartment. I have addressed this with our staff as it does not reflect the standard we keep our properties. This is not acceptable.I'm very sorry to hear this, Thank you for bringing this to our attention . The front desk staff have also been contacted regarding the door code you were provided. There is an option to lock the master bed room off, , however, we do not do this. Hi Emily, We're glad you enjoyed your stay, loved the location, found the kitchen well stalked and would stay again! We did address your cleaning concerns with our cleaning staff and have solved the situation. We do provide 8 chairs for the dining table (when it is extended) so that 8 can be accommodated for meals. Generally the extra 2 chairs are placed at the entry (to put boots on) and in one of the bedrooms for extra seating when the table is compressed, it sounds as though this may not have been the case.
