I speak some German, so that helped in following the registration instructions. The only complaint is that the door was left ajar on two occasions by the cleaning staff. It required a slight slam to get it to close properly. It is very convenient to public transportation, shopping and good. There was a great breakfast spot one-half...

"We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The onsite restaurant is very good and reasonably priced, the bar is nice to hang out in the evening. The cleanliness of the room was exceptional. The staff were helpful. I would happily stay here again. Also the location is ideal for reaching different parts of the city "

"Horrible experience. I was traveling to Berlin for one night and upon arrival I found the hotel front door closed. Apparently this is normal as there is no staff on hand unless there is a check-in due however this prompted me to give the hotel a call. The lady on the phone then (in a very rude manner) informed me that the booking I had had been cancelled by hotels.com and that there were no rooms available. I had not been informed of this and my booking was still listed as active and upcoming in...

"The Pension Unicat was a great place to stay outside of Berlin. We stayed in an annex(?) across the street and our rooms were large. The rooms were clean, bright and airy. The restaurant was excellent and the portions were huge. The staff all spoke at least a little English were friendly and helpful. The train into Berlin is just down the street about a 5 minute walk. The only con was the on street metered parking."
