"The perfect setting for a relaxing break. The hosts, Ruud and Vreinle, along with their team, are attentive to all your needs. Malaga Hills is built into the mountains overlooking the coast. There are only 5 bedrooms, so the standard of service is maximum. Looking out from the balcony in our room were peerless views of the mountains and the pretty, whitewashed village of Cómpeta. We did yoga on our first morning, on an outdoor terrace. Breakfast is served on the terrace by the pool and honesty bar. There’s a sumptuous library, also hosting a massage chair for relaxing after a day of hiking. There’s an extensive directory of hiking routes. The food in the local restaurants is generous, inexpensive (by UK standards) and Ruud will recommend and make reservations for you. We are so relaxed after our mini break here, that we wish we could’ve stayed longer. V happy to recommend. "

"We booked this villa for a family holiday. there was 7 of us in total including my elderly parents. We booked it from the photos that were supplied on the listing. These photos really don't do it any justice!! The setting is fabulous, remote but that is what we wanted however Competa is a 10 minute drive with all amenities including supermarkets and fabulous restaurants. The property is very traditional and gets uninterrupted sun from 8am to 8pm. The pool area is great and was well used during our stay. Our host (Mercedes) was very helpful and attentive to our needs. Our flight got cancelled on the day of departure and communication with her was very reassuring as we had to reschedule our arrival day but nothing was too much trouble. The whole family enjoyed their stay if there was any criticism it would be the lack of Air Conditioning. Our week had unusual high temps (35 degrees) daily which did not drop much during the night. However we understand that this one of those things and it did not affect our experience. We did see previous reviews which mentioned the road to the property. We rented a 9 seater minibus and it coped well with the terrain and we had absolutely no problem driving the route to Competa and Torrox Beach We will definitely be booking again Many thanks Beckham Family"
