I would give this hotel one star, specifically because they won’t let you reserve two of their three restaurants on the day you check-in. I expect them to reach out to customers when they book the hotel since we are paying for the entire stay and the amenities they offer. The hotel staff didn’t explain this and provided me with incorrect information about restaurant bookings for the remaining nights.
The room was not clean. I stayed in a family room with a terrace, but the jacuzzi on the terrace was in terrible condition. I left the water tap open to fill it up, but after 4-5 hours it wasn’t even half a foot filled. Apparently, there was a small leak, so it didn’t work.
I found a used bandage underneath the table, which was disgusting. The shower in the bathroom was leaking water, so I had to lay towels on the floor all the time. I also found two cockroach-like bugs in the bathroom. Overall, I will not return to this place.
The staff in the kids’ activity center didn’t even greet or talk to us when we entered. We stood there for 10 minutes, but they just sat there with no communication, so we left.
The Veranda staff was really helpful, and I appreciate their hard work and dedication. That is the only positive I will take from this stay.
