This hotel is in transformation. There are obvious things being repaired like the elevator. The staff is kind, check in was fast, there is a good dining option Preston's where steak house and pub fare can be had. We had a pond view room that was clean and quiet. We got a good night sleep. There is a pool, jacuzzi, and a cedar sauna that has the right amount of chlorine (not a burninator). Fresh fruit ice water in the lobby with mint and berries was a nice touch. This is reasonably priced in our opinion and we would stay here again. The challenges: the current elevator situation requires stairs to get to the pool but we did not mind, the area is a tad run down but there is a coffee shop, savon foods, and other options in the adjacent blocks or accross the street and we felt safe.

The staff and room were great, but one elevator was noisy and rough, and the other was out of service because it was apparently noisier. The lobby looked like it needed a renovation and was not inviting. Room price was higher than it should be for current condition of the hotel.

It was a nice place to stay. Happy to have a location that takes dogs. Would prefer not to have a per pet charge. I enjoyed my stay.

Staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful. From the moment my wife and I walked in we felt that we were the most important people in the world. The friendly and welcoming greeting thru to the quick, informative and efficient check in ensured that our stay would be great. The room, 408, was quiet, clean and well laid out. The only miss ques were: a.- the safe which was laying on the floor in the closet and not attached to anything. and b.- the window covering which while room darkening, did not hang down far enough to block out the light ( there was about a 3 inch gap below the bottom of the drapes and the window sill.

The only issue we had was that on only a two night stay, the digital key card malfunctioned twice, which meant trips down to the receptionist to get new cards. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay. We had breakfast there and it was excellent.

Checked in pretty late so not able to really give much of a review about the amenities. The room was clean. The front desk staff was very friendly and super helpful. Only one elevator was working. The shower head was the only thing that I didnt like, and I could not change the water dispersion.

The elevator is horrible that stemmed the sound of the cable seemed towards the end of the lifespan. When several guests of different floors shared at the same time, it did not stop at the appropriate floor level. Basically each of us had to keep tapping and pressing the floor button after each guest went out. It has taken a lot of time for us to do trial and error before we could figure out what to do. Also the bathtub does not equipped with grab bar so it posts the risks of slip and fall for the seniors.

The elevator should be up and running in a few weeks. It is a lengthy process but needed. If you do require, we do have three rooms that are equipped to more accessible.

The staff were great but the buffet breakfast was awful. Only a few choices with weird sausage patties, undercooked potatoes, hard fruit salad, lousy pancakes, and bacon that was pretty good. The scrambled eggs were just ok. Not really scrambled. Also a limit of one beverage that you may not be aware of until you are already committed.
