This hotel is in transformation. There are obvious things being repaired like the elevator. The staff is kind, check in was fast, there is a good dining option Preston's where steak house and pub fare can be had. We had a pond view room that was clean and quiet. We got a good night sleep. There is a pool, jacuzzi, and a cedar sauna that has the right amount of chlorine (not a burninator). Fresh fruit ice water in the lobby with mint and berries was a nice touch. This is reasonably priced in our opinion and we would stay here again.
The challenges: the current elevator situation requires stairs to get to the pool but we did not mind, the area is a tad run down but there is a coffee shop, savon foods, and other options in the adjacent blocks or accross the street and we felt safe.
