“We had a great stay just outside of Doolin. Great launch place for cliffs of Moher hike, traditional pub music and exploring coast town of Lahinch. Some local lake were nice as well! We had a group of 7 including adult children and the house was perfect with a couple of sitting room options for quiet reading or noisy socializing. Well equipped kitchen.”

“This house is in a great location for a stay in Doolin - just a few minutes walk from Gus O’Connor’s pub and some shops, and a few miles away from 3 other good pubs, all with Irish music at night. The house has everything that you might need and Patrick stopped in a couple of times to see if everything was good. I recommend this as a good place to stay in Doolin.”

“Quin is a great base for traveling around the west of Ireland. The house is so clean and comfortable. Quiet neighborhood, with the occasional moo from the cows in the field next door. Tony and Maria are welcoming hosts, the scones Maria made for us were still warm when we arrived. Quin is a lovely village a very short drive away. Abbey Tavern is great for a pint or a meal. Highly recommended.”

“My wife and I had a three-year COVID delayed 35th (turned into 38th) wedding anniversary in Ireland, Spain and Portugal. Although Doolin wasn't on our list for 2020 we added it for 2023 and were very happy we did so; especially given the great communication and flexibility that we had from Rosanna and Patrick. Can't say enough good things about them and the property. We look forward to our next trip to Ireland and Doolin (with Rosanna and Patrick's house) will definitely be one of our stops.”

“Wonderful time in Ellery lodge. Everything was lovely. Just maybe a small tip for other guests. A simple explanation on using appliances as we had difficulty with cooker and dishwasher. On this occasion I don t think the over 60 age group was a problem 😂”

“This was a lovely property in every way. Three spacious bedrooms, conservatory with a beautiful view, a cozy warm home, especially when coming back from a damp day. Bertie was very generous with her ‘welcome’ food basket, we hardly needed to go shopping. It is about a 10 minute drive from Miltown Malbay so don’t expect to be walking into town though. But once you’ve spent your day exploring, spending the evening at home was quite nice”

We knew from our first viewing of the Boathouse that it checked all of our boxes. Location, space, arrangement of space, tranquil setting, and amenities met all of our needs and expectations. Our hosts were responsive to all of our questions and needs, prior to arrival and during our stay. The Boathouse was key to making this family gathering as special as we hoped...
