Third time staying I this hotel and first time with a bad experience. I always travel with family and it was terrible that they couldn’t accommodate us in the floor. I didn’t know that they key room only gives you access to the floor you are staying; so you can imagine all the inconveniences that we went through.

It’s a historic hotel. The lobby is nice and the rooftop deck is fantastic. The rooms, however, are so drab and unadorned that they feel depressing, all brown and beige. The bed was comfortable. Several lightbulbs didn’t work, ditto for the hair dryer. It feels like it would take very little money and imagination to make the rooms warmer and more inviting. All in all, I think it’s worth it for the location.

La primer noche que me quedé hubo un evento en la terraza que se terminó a la 1:30 de la mañana. Todo el ruido, música, pasos se escuchó en mi cuarto. Cuando llamé a preguntar si podría cambiar de cuarto me dijieron que no, y que no podían hacer nada para resolver mi problema.

We paid for an upgraded room all it was, was a loft with a couch and a TV. There was no balcony and our view was a wall. The room had no mini fridge and it was listed that the property had AC. This was false it was more like a swamp cooler that was dependent on the outside temperature and since it was 100 degrees outside it was hot to say the leas. Besides that, the staff was super friendly and accommodating. The restaurant on the propertywas good and again staff was great. The location is super convenient as it was only a few steps away from the cathedral and local shops. All in all, it was a pleasant experience and felt safe the entire time. The hotel has a certain charm and would recommend it to those who are looking for hotel with history.

Loved our stay. The perfect location and room was sizeable. Only issues we had were plumbing (toilet and shower) almost impossible to flush the toilet without straining yourself, and changing the water from spout to showerhead was very difficult, and when you finally got it to stay, the temperature would automatically change from hot to cold.

The hotel was centralized, quiet and clean, staff were nice and helpful. Hotel could benefit from some upgrades but overall I'd stay at the hotel again. Only advice is beware of the tours you book at the hotel,they are not as great as ones you find on expedia, viator etc. Also, hotel restaurant was great for a quick breakfast but please explore if you want more delicious meals.

This hotel is in a great location for exploring all the joys of centro Guadaljara. The room had some minor issues, floor damage, but for the most part was great. The only two knocks, one minor, is that the staff seemed a bit pushy regarding tips. Also the photo that shows the rooftop isn't overly accurate. While they could setup the roof in that fashion there were a couple of small tables and chairs. It wasn'\t a location that you'd really want to have your breakfast or supper as we thought you might.
