Was at Royalton Splash for a week. Had a great time overall, very clean hotel, staff is nice. Spent a lot of time at the pool and there were people walking around all the time. Open snack areas around the pool allows to be at the pool all day, which was great! Slides, water park and lazy river were awesome, kids and adults enjoyed them all day long. Rooms were clean and service came daily. They were quick about it too. Mini bar gets refilled at night or by calling guest services. We had an issue with the shower, it was clogged and had to call for someone to come up, they stopped by within the hour and unclogged the drain. They have a good number of restaurants which you book through their app which actually works great. Never had an issue booking something or navigating the app. You can book restaurants one day in advance starting at midnight. The buffet was hit or miss, some days they had good choices some so not. Wish they had more authentic Mexican options, they catered mostly to the tourist with American food. The individual restaurants were hit and miss as well. Strongly recommend Hunter steakhouse and Zen Teppenyaki. Food was really good at both. Most other individual restaurants it was average and we tried all. Nightly activities in the main theater, changes every night, they are fun and entertaining…just another reason to stay out and drink more!

We didn’t get check-in through Expedia and didn’t know we had additional amenities until we were checking out. We never got our welcome package and when we checked in they gave my 14 year old daughter an adult wristband so they wouldn’t allow her to go on certain rides at the water park. Pretty upset about these situations

The property was nice, however, it looks like the staff was over worked and not happy. The food selection was not good, even at most of the restaurant. The customer service at the front Desk was not helpful, they send you to Expedia desk which was at the end of the property. The Expedia staff was nice once you get there but our room was in Bldg. 12 which was at the far end from the Expedia Desk. I was disappointed at the over all service and accommodation for such a big resort. You think they would give better service, since the beach was teribble and a deterrent compare with RIU which I went to before and was much better service for less cost.

We really enjoy this resort. As far as food there is something for everyone. It’s what you make of it. Entertainment was on point. The kids enjoyed all the activities as well as the adults. The staff was great. Would definitely go back!

El hotel es muy bonito, para los niños está genial por el parque acuático, toboganes, albercas y río. El gimnasio y spa espectaculares. El servicio de concierge Jonathan impecable y excelente. El restaurante Zen el mejor del lugar. Los demás restaurantes de especialidades no nos gustaron y el buffet más o menos. En general los alimentos bien a secas. Falta mejorar calidad de las bebidas.

We booked the Chairman Sky Suite for my wife’s 40th birthday—traveling as a family of six—and expected a premium, white-glove experience. Unfortunately, the resort didn’t deliver. Check-in took 45 minutes. Our butler gave a brief tour, promised the room by 3pm, then vanished. We didn’t hear back until I asked other staff. When we got into our suite, we were told the TV didn’t work and would need to move. We packed, then were told to stay—only for the TV to keep glitching. We couldn’t order room service through it and had to text our butler instead. Before the trip, I asked the hotel to arrange something special for my wife’s birthday. The butler had no idea and missed the promised time. She didn’t receive anything until turndown service at 6pm—an unfortunate letdown. The butler service was reactive, not proactive. We expected help with dinners, chairs, and activities—but often waited hours for responses. For the last 3 days, our master bathroom smelled like sewage. We reported it, but nothing was fixed—no follow-up or credit offered. The kids loved the pools and water parks. Dinners were decent, though activities felt underwhelming. But for the money we spent, the service and attention to detail didn’t match what was advertised. This resort has potential—but the execution fell short and didn’t live up to the luxury vacation we paid for.

Nothing too special, have definitely stayed at better. Water park and slides were fun for the kids, though their signs at the pool advertise they are open until 7 and closed at 5. We also had to request maintenance twice during our stay and there was no way to inform housekeeping that we were away from our room. We frequently were unable to access our room due to a dead door battery or housekeeping. We also struggled getting a high chair for our daughter, often having to feed her in a stroller or on our laps. Food was decent, but traditional large resort food. Nothing too special. The resort is huge and we ended up with a room next to the diamond club area (which we weren't) and had to walk to the complete other side of the resort for everything. Also the "timeshare" selling was ridiculous, especially when we were facing an issue with our room and they insisted on trying to sell us instead of help us. Overall, wasn't a bad stay, but we ultimately decided we aren't looking to go back.
