"Absolutely beautiful place! We stayed three nights. The location was close to a lot of great places on the island. It was fun driving through the banana farms each time we came/left. The beach was stunning and completely empty so we had the entire beach to ourselves. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck at night and drinking wine. We loved that the room had a mini fridge, coffee maker and AC. We hope to come back."

"The family who owns this budget no frills hotel gave us outstanding treatment from beginning to end. Of course on an island there are many insects so we used nets above the beds. The room is simple, without AC but there are several fans which helped cool us off at night. "Finca Ometepe is tucked up against the Volcano Madera about 2km past the town of Balgue. They have many fruit trees, fresh eggs, and even homemade goat cheese when we stayed there. The casita kitchen is well equipped. We were warmly welcomed and really enjoyed our stay here."

"Only place on the island that locks the gates to the hotel at 8pm. Every night except one we had to climb the fence to get in to go to are room. Not late 9at night no one around it was like a prison. Nice place but was a pain in the ass and the last thing I wanted to do after a day of adventuring is climbing a fence ripping my shorts on the spikes every night. To walk around the hotel yelling to get someone to come open the gate for everyone else who could not climb the fence. "
