Apartment located by the sea, in a modern building, facing the Atlantic Ocean, in Vila Nova de Gaia-Porto-Foz do Douro River in Northern Portugal. Situated in first line of sea, in Lavadores Beach, is the ideal place for a holiday or short stay and also a beautiful place to live.

Excellent sea view from the living room and kitchen, both with a balcony where you can sunbathe and admire the magnificent sunsets every day. The balconies face West Southwest, North wind sheltered, with magnificent sun exposure.

This 2 bedroom apartment sleeps 4 and is almost new, with very few signs of use and newly furnished. Has a spacious living room and kitchen, both with balcony facing the sea, where you can relax, sunbathe and admire the beautiful sunset every day. The living room is equipped with comfortable and modern sofas, has a 42-inch Plasma TV, cable television with 100 channels and free wireless Internet access, 50 Mb/s. The spacious kitchen is equipped with all necessary cooking equipment and utensils.

The 2 rooms are equipped with king size beds and super comfortable bagged Springs mattresses with a layer of premium memory foam, to allow a deep rest and relaxing. 2 bathrooms with WC and shower and one with Jacuzzi tub.

Conveniently equipped with clothing, towels, all utensils and equipment needed for 6 people.

Comfortable condo in great location
Owner met us provided keys and info and gave us a tour. Nice views from balconies and easy access to Porto and surroundings. Lots of nearby restaurants and great boardwalk system along the ocean.

Great for two senior citizens w/rental car to visit all our desired locations. Clean, enjoyable place to stay after traveling. All conveniences as advertised. Everything worked. Car parking in garage under building was added plus. Safe and secure.

An unlikely slice of heaven
The apartment is clean and modern and has everything you could want from strong wifi to hot showers. At first Lavadores looked like a slightly overbuilt seaside strip. When you get to know it you realise it is rather special, situated on a huge stretch of sandy coast with good, reasonably priced restaurants and a fine supermarket a 15-minute walk away. It is not a nightlife place but excellent for families and those seeking something quieter and more civilised. From your balcony window you will see a lot of walking and cycling and be inspired to walk and cycle yourself. Swimming was difficult most days because the waves are huge, although our daughters did swim towards the end of the holiday when the sea calmed. Without a car you need to get your head round the bus and metro ticketing system but once you have Porto is just half an hour away. Marcus was attentive and helpful and communicated with us brilliantly in very good English in a run-up dominated by Covid fears and travel restrictions. We had a lovely time. Thank you.

Pros: Everything was quite good. Just as listed. Beautiful view of the ocean and THE WAVES, WOW!! The secure parking is really nice! The location is busy on Friday and Saturday nights. . The heating, perfect. The kitchen well equipped and everything was very clean... Cons: The walls are a little thin so be kind to the neighbors, they can hear you because we could hear them. The exteriors is under renovation so the scaffolding is a distraction. Summary: We would come again.

Great Time in Porto!
We loved this property and its location across the street from the ocean was perfect for my beach-loving mom. For anyone more interested in the central Porto experience, this is not the most convenient property for that purpose. But if you want to get away from it all while still being relatively close to Porto, this is the perfect place!

Porto condo
The condo has everything you need. We appreciate the beach chair to watch the great sunsets. The location is perfect for long walks along the path adjacent to the beach. A car is recommended for exploring the region. Marcos was very friendly and explained how everything worked in the apartment and recommend a fee local restaurants and a local croissant shop. The apartment is large enough for families or two couples and the underground parking is very secure.

Beautiful View, Clean and Safe - We'd return for sure!
The owner was prompt and courteous throughout the entire process. We arrived at airport at 11:20 pm so were concerned but the owner was fine with it. Flight was late, arrived at apartment just before 1 am and he couldn't have been more understanding. We left at 5 am and were able to just leave the keys in the apartment and text him upon departure. Marcos is informative and helpful. This beach front apartment is south of the river, just outside of Porto. Easy bus access to Porto Center from apartment or approximately 10 Euro Uber ride. 20 Euro Uber from Airport. Both bedrooms have queen comfortable beds. The shower head in the bathroom is awesome. This place would be great for 2 couples although it was just my husband and I. We enjoyed being outside of the hustle and bustle of Porto yet there were at least 3 darling cafes oceanfront within walking distance for morning coffee along with several restaurants. I was pleasantly surprised that all of these were open in November! Great sushi place a few blocks from apartment. Wifi was fine, a few games and books and two balconies large enough to sit out on. We had a great time at this location even though we only walked on the beach due to rain/wind. The bluster was refreshing with the salt air. The bicycles advertised are in disrepair and the tires need air. We attempted to limp to the gas station but never made it that far. (one derailleur is seized due to rust so does not shift and is stuck in the most difficult gear, the other barely switches gears without dropping the chain, there is a bicycle pump but it plugs into a cigarette lighter and we did not have a car.) If you have a car to inflate the tires and just wanted to cruise the boardwalk out front of the apartment, I suppose they would be functional for this purpose.) We had intended to ride them into Porto each day so if this your plan, rent a car or be fine with public transportation. We loved this apartment.

We were met at apartment by owner, Marcos, who was very helpful. The apartment was lovely, very clean and tidy. Fantastic views of the sea. If you want to be just outside the busyness of Porto, I would highly recommend.

Appartement sehr sauber, gute Betten. Küche sehr gut ausgestattet ( Küchenrolle, Tabs f . WM +GM, Weingläser, scharfe Messer usw) Probleme mit Internet wurden vom Inhaber sofort behoben. Fahrt nach Porto City mit Uber ca. 10 Minuten. Restaurants aller Niveaus in Fussnähe. Strand ok, Strasse zwischen Balkon und Terrasse. Supermarkt ca. 10 Fussminuten entfernt.

Urlaub wie er sein sollte
Marcos hat uns gut in die Wohnung eingeführt, alles wie im Inserat beschrieben vorgefunden. Abreise ging völlig problemlos. Die Lage genial, die Schlafzimmer nach hinten raus dadurch sehr ruhig zum schlafen. Wir hatten leider Pech mit dem Wetter aber dafür kann niemand etwas. Falls wir nochmals in diese Gegend kommen sollte. Dann wieder hierher.
