The room was good but bathroom very small. The hotel is under renovation and the smell of paint is everywhere I woke up with a terrible headache. They should close the place until renovation is completed.

room was renovated and was nice and clean. staff was friendly and breakfast had many options. only drawback was the outside of the property wasn’t maintained , looked like it was abandoned. seemed like an unsafe area but we were fine. driving around the back of the building was very sketchy.

Undergoing renovations so there are boxes and new carpet & paint smells through the hallways. Critically it was a very quiet hotel with a clean and comfortable room, good air conditioning- friendly staff. Will stay here again as good stay and close to tunnel for blue jay games.

The property was so handy for us to stay in Windsor, Canada, to go across the border to the USA, to go to the stadium to watch a Blue Jays versus the Detroit Tigers baseball game. The property staff was great, the room reasonably clean and they are definitely in the middle of upgrading the hotel property in many ways.

The property was being newly renovated. Rooms were quiet, comfortable, and pleasant. Check in and check out process was easy. Not sure why there was a need for a $200 deposit when I had prepaid for the night.

We arrived at the hotel just after 2:00 pm on the day of our check in. We were told that an additional $20 Plus taxes would be charged since we were checking in before the standard check in time of 3:00 pm. We explained to the lady at the front desk that we had travelled almost 8 hours and were there to attend a funeral and needed to get ready. Her reply was that she couldn’t do anything as the fee is automatically charged. Our room was ready when we arrived and there did not appear to be many other guests staying there. Not sure why our arriving less than one hour before check in would cause the hotel any real expense. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations and the hallways were full of unboxed furniture and very dusty. It was evident that our room had been remodelled however the door was very difficult to open (maybe the paint did not completely dry) There is no signage on the outside or the building that even indicates that it is a Howard Johnson. Very disappointing stay.
