good deal for budget oriented
Location is perfect, just 5 minutes from union square, 600 meters from cala foods, a grocery store, where you can buy different provisions for your stay, it is very close to 2 cable cars lines, the one on Powell and the other on California. We received a room on the 3 floor, without any view, the breakfast is minimal and the first person who served us was impolite, the next week was better. If you came with a tight budget this is a great stay. We used the room just to sleep, so it was very good.

Somewhat disappointed with 2nd visit
This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed here. The first time, the wife and I had a suite that we thought was the standard room here. This time our expectations were high and we brought our 3 kids. And we were all crammed into one room. While the room was clean, and the breakfast was nice, we were very let down. Plus - the hotel had raised its prices significantly since our last trip which was just 18 months ago. So we expected what we previously had and from that sense we were very much let down. Still and all - a decent hotel with a good location.
