Nice accomodations

this hotel was very comfortable and accomodating. the room was very nice, bed was great and the bath room was big. the hotel was very empty of guests so i received nice treatment except the barkeep. he had a bad attitude about me ordering dinner to go. be sure that you stay in a renovated room, north tower as of my stay. they were working on some areas but nothing to interrupt my sleep or stay. the one bad thing is that the hot tub was down when i got there and still down 4 days later.

the air conditioning was ’way too high; it was 90 degrees or hotter outside and about 60 inside. I kept having to run outside to warm up.

Dallas’s Best Hotel

I travelled with my sister in law and we stayed there for 4 nights. We attended a convention and the hotel was fully booked. The big crowds were not a problem and the service was great. Every member of the staff was very polite and they always had a smile on their faces, even though you could tell they were very tired! The location is very convinient and there’s a pretty view from the pool, specially at night. It was perfect till the very last minute.

You don’t have to rent a car or take an expensive cab to go shopping from the Sheraton. The light Railway is just a few steps away from the hotel and it will take you to 2 different very large malls.

Mostly excellent

The hotel was great, the room was very clean and seemed luxurious. The bathroom was awesome, it looked much more expensive than what I paid for it (thanks Expedia). I ate twice at the hotel’s restaurants, once at the bar and once at the dining room. Both were terrific, the quality of the food was good, service was fast, people were friendly. My only major gripe with the hotel is that they charge for wireless. Seriously!? C’mon guys, everyone has free wi-fi as a courtesy, I would expect the same from this caliber of hotel and for what the room rates were. The fitness center was adequate, but mostly wasted space. Tons of cardio equipment, but not much in the way of weights. At least one multi-purpose station would be nice and a pullup bar is cheap and can be mounted to any wall. The front desk staff was very professional and efficient, especially considering the number of guests that weekend.

Amazing.

The Concierge did an amazing job, they took extra effort helping us get to each location at the cheapest route. I only had a problem with the shuttle on my way back to the airport to head home at 5:30 am. The taxi driver and the shuttle guy almost got in a fight over my business, it was very unprofessional, and I was exhausted as it was but besides that I would defiantly stay again!

Great location but r e n o v a t i o n s !

Great location. Walking distance to many attractions with easy access to public transportation to others. Not a lot of help from concierge which would have made things much easier. Even the maps and brochures had been moved due to renovations so the concierge did not even supply the basics. Lost some time trying to figure it out. Dallas Arboretum is not to be missed! Great things there even for the kids. Renovations, renovations, renovations at this hotel creating lots of disorganization. Will be a much better place to stay in a few months.

Excellent place to stay!

This hotel was really nice. There were some areas being renovated, but that did not affect the wonderful time that I spent there. The view from the restaurant on the 38th floor was amazing and room service was wonderful and quick.

The food court closes relatively early and I believe it is closed totally on the weekends.

Can’t wait to go back

Pictures match the actual rooms, shocking isn’t it. Only thing I have to gripe about is that there was an anime convention going on so the elevators were crowded with sweaty boys. Other than that it was a good experience.

Goliath

the hotel was nice but it’s like staying in a cavernous Las Vegas hotel: everything is huge, with no real intimate public spaces. And the small bottle of OJ I bought in the gift shop cost $3.10.

Had a good experience.

Had to travel to Dallas for a conference, but there was no availability at the hotel it was being held at. Chose this Sheraton instead because of a reduced-rate deal over Expedia and overall I was pleased. They offer free internet service to guests, as well as a pretty-serviceable fitness area. Staff was friendly and helpful. Overall I was happy with this place, but unsure if I would choose this place had I not received a discount over Expedia.

Great Hotel

Very friendly and helpful staff at both the front desk when checking in and the restaurant for dinner. The room was very nice with great views of downtown Dallas. Very clean and modern.

ok place to stay

The hotel is under construction so its kinda a big mess. The front desk person when we got there gave us the wrong rooms (we reserved queen bed rooms, and got king bed rooms) and told us the pool was open when it wasn’t. Other than that, the view is amazing, and the rooms are nice.

Great room... noisy construction

The construction near by was noisy at odd times of day (and there were noises around midnight that sounded like the thump of a dryer) but overall the room was good. The bathroom very large. The hotel is near the Plaza of the Americas, so it was possible to get decent coffee in the morning, as well.

charged twice

I got charged twice for parking !! It took three phone calls to there accounting department to get this rectified... nice hotel, bad desk procedure, and poor accounting service.

Dallas loud hotel

The hotel itself was well kept, undergoing some renovation. However, there was a college in town apparently and I suddenly felt as if my floor had become a frat party. It would be nice if they would place folks differently if they know have a college party going on. I was unable to get sleep until almost 1 am after 2 calls to security to complain about the party noise in the hallway.

Must check out the Dallas World Aquarium and the fine dining in the West End. An easy walk from the hotel.

went to a conference and it was very convenient to all. doing construction/remodeling this should improve common area. workout room had most machines out of order.

Nice Location

I was in Dallas for a business trip with some time for sight seeing. The location was in the heart of downtown with a dart station right across the street, making travel to different areas of town very easy. I was disappointed in the dinning choices at the hotel. There was a food court at the hotel across the street, but they didn’t have hours after about 6:00 or on weekends. It made eating very difficult.

Under construction!

The hotel is undergoing major reconstruction. Although there was no room noise, the construction is an obstacle. Also, no room service after 11:00 P.M. and nothing open for food or drinks. The door to the bathroom was broken. I think I will wait to return when the construction is completed.

Great service/ great staff.

Although the hotel lobby area is undergoing renovations, the staff was friendly and very helpful. Rooms were clean and modern. Parking was not the best situation given the vehicle I drive. Our stay was during the National Cheerleading Competition. If the hotel can perform well under those conditions, they are doing well!!!
