Wonderful Venue for Wedding Guests!

This was a perfect place for wedding guests - we all had our private rooms, but could have breakfast together and swim and just walk around enjoying the beautiful landscaping. Very Convenient to the Santa Barbara aiport!

Clean and cozy

It was a wonderful stay at the Pacifica Suites! Although we were a few miles from Santa Barbara, it was well worth the few minutes drive.

Satisfied

The staff was excellent and the room was great. We loved the "Happy hour". I was dissapointed by the lack of an excersize facility and I was only slightly dissapointed by the breakfast. It was great for an includd meal, but I read the breakfasts were outstanding. We found them to be adequate but I would not say they were exceptional. The cooks were nice and entertaining and the breakfast was very generous.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

This is a great place for visiting UC Santa Barbara, close and convenient.

Won’t be back anytime soon.

The hotel is pretty! Nice at check in! Asked for extra towels, but didnt get them! Room was smaller then I thought, but nice. The air con. didnt work! The heat came on instead. Someone fixed it, after we felt like we had been in a oven for hours. Water in tub was kinda yellow! Same goes for the toilet. Maybe older pipes, I dont know? The toilet leaked and smelled! Awoke to about a inch of water all over bathroom floor! We let the front desk know and they were like, ok thank you for telling us! Room faced the freeway, not so bad at first. After all the parties died down around 3am and all the people finally crashed you could hear the freeway loud and clear! The brite side of the trip was breakfast was nice at no extra cost! Nice cooks! Best part was no line for breakfast! I guess the party goers were finally tired and needed some sleep! Something we would of loved the night before!

Traveler's tip on dining

Eat at Chucks of Hawaii! Great food! Love the self serve salad bar that comes with your dinner! Nice staff!!!

Great Spot

This is a very nice hotel with comfy rooms. Just make sure you ask for a room that doesn’t back up to the freeway.

Nice place to stay for a trip to SB!!!

We stayed for 2 nights vacationing. The hotel was a little away from the busiest part, laid back and spacious. The staffs were nice and friendly. Breakfast was definitely worth over $10 at other hotels. I wish our room faced a better way, but I guess it was up to the availability.

Traveler's tip on dining

Never eat on the SB pier. Except the view, it’s nothing special nor fantastic food, but pricey. I recommend the pier across the yochot harbar had a little restaurant that offers good seafood (be ready to wait for over an hour, though.)

Nice small hotel with all suites

The Pacifica Suites is worth looking into if you’re going to be in the Santa Barbara area. The rooms were nice enough, but the hotel did have some problems. The hotel itself is on a small property with several individual buildings with their own entrances with no locks ... a potential security risk for sure. The hotel is also pretty poorly marked in terms of room numbers inside the individual buildings, and the front-desk staff was pretty unhelpful when it came to locating rooms ("it’s that way," I was told twice, and the clerk refused to do more than point in a general direction). If you’re travelling on a budget, this is worth looking into. It’s comfortable and quaint, but not luxurious by any means.

Great SB Hotel with a Free Hot Breakfast!

Nice spacious suites a couple miles from downtown SB. The free hot breakfast of eggs to order with bacon/sausage and pancakes was incredibly good and saved us $20.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

check out the haunted home that is a historic site next to the hotel..

Recommended for UCSB parent

I am a UCSB parent and I found that this hotel is best located next to highway 217 that can take me to UCSB entrance quickly. The complimentary breakfast has selectable options and is well served by polite chef. The room is well maintained and updated.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

You don’t need to request for a roll away bed which costs extra $15 because there is already a sofa bed inside the living room. When I told the cashier at check-out time that I haven’t used the roll away bed, they waived the $15 which is a very nice response. Lastly, I will suggest calling the manager directly to ask for a discount for UCSB parent.

Would Stay Here Again

We visited with 3 children and had no problem as suite was very spacious. Hotel was very clean and quiet. Cooked to order breakfast every morning was outstanding. Also nice was the wine tasting and snacks every afternoon featuring local wineries. Located within easy access to State St. area and Goleta Beach.

Traveler's tip on shopping

Make sure to visit the sunday art and craft show on the beach by stearns warf. I have been visiting SB for over 25 years and would never miss a chance to shop the beach!!

A place to relax with a glass of wine

This was terrific, it was our first time staying at this hotel and would definitely go back. This weekend included golf at a nearby course, dinner in Montecito, zoo visit and walks along the peer in Santa Barbara. Returning to the hotel for a glass of wine on the patio to end our days. Grounds were immaculate and alot of nice follage.

Respect that others enjoy this quiet retreat, so leave your noisey kids at home.

Very nice! Plan to stay there again.

Pacifica Suites is nestled on park-like grounds sprinkled with huge trees. Our suite was quite comfortable, and looked like it was recently renovated from the carpet up. The sleeping room had a "real" king bed complete with a double dresser, small closet and TV. The sitting room had a sleeper sofa, small refrigerator, TV, DVD player and work desk. I especially liked the complimentary wireless Internet access. They also served a cooked-to-order breakfast in the little cafe adjacent to the lobby. This stay was short (1 night) but we definitely want to return and stay longer.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

The Sexton House sits on the Pacifica Suites property and has been restored as a historical site.

Santa Barbara getaway

Nice suite for families - both rooms had tvs and one room had the dvd player to keep the kids occupied, although I couldn’t figure out how to make it work(Mommy’s tired). Good parking outside our room, and free breakfast too (eggs, bacon, hash browns, waffles, pancakes, fruits, expresso machine)! And not too far from the mall/grocery store!

Roomy suite - would definately stay again

Hotel was about 15 minutes from downtown Santa Barbara - an easy drive. Very large suite in great shape, and very nice grounds. Our room faced the on-ramp to the expressway, but room noise was never a problem (windows closed). The included hot breakfast was a bonus.

Convenient to UCSB

We stayed here while checking out UCSB and it’s an excellent choice for that purpose. Although it’s very close to the highway, the grounds are lovely and once we put the AC the noise level wasn’t a problem. Also just a short ride to Goleta Beach where we had dinner. Not in the heart of the Santa Barbara downtown/beachfront action, but very nice. Breakfast was very good.

We had dinner at the restaurant at Goleta Beach which is just a short drive away. We timed it in order to see the sunset and had a great night.

Excellent little hotel

Other than the pillows which could have been less stiff, it was a lovely place to use while visiting my student at UCSB. Great location for the school.

Great Stay - Don’t be late for breakfast

Overall our stay was wonderful. Good firm mattresses, comfortable temperature and nothing that woke us or disturbed us. We wished we could have taken advantage of more that they had to offer. The only thing missing was a choice at breakfast. We arrived during the serving time and the choices were very limited the morning we ate breakfast there.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Plan some time to take advantage of the complimentary wine and cheese in the evening. It is relaxing and in a lovely setting.
