"Experience hutong life"
Stay here to experience life in a (modernised) 四合院儿 (traditional courtyard houses) in the hutongs. This is very comfortable, and all rooms have en suite (that is distinctly NOT traditional). The rooms are not as large as a western-style hotel, with very little room to store clothes. But the traditional furniture is beautiful, and the old courtyards are wonderful. The staff are all wonderful.

"Cheap, comfortable and friendly"
Budget transit hotel with free shuttle service. The room itself looked pretty similar to the photos. The bed linen and the towels seemed brand-new and the duvets were very fluffy, not at all what I was expecting from a budget Chinese hotel. Free wi-fi and some international TV channels were available in the room.

"great place deep in a Hutong"
we don't give 5 star reviews very often but this place derives it. it is hard to find so we used a VPN to be able to use Google maps and came straight here from the airport by way of subway . the staff are awesome even though they do not speak much English we used Google translator to talk with them. they helped us every day to find places restaurant's and gave us all kinds of things for free. we had room 8110 which is small at 130 square feet and right next to the entrance. our window opened into the lobby. we still found it to be very quite and comfortable. the bed was a little firm but the linens were very nice with great pillows. the bath was very nice also Even though the shower is almost over the toilet . we loved our stay here and would love to return again some day . yes we do recommend

"Pleasant hotel, good for budget lone travellers"
On the whole a good hotel. Reception staff speak good English (even when I checked in at 10pm) and were very friendly and helpful. Corridors smell very strongly of smoke, but no smell in rooms. Good size room, great facilities, very clean. Restaurant has decent food but not great value - there are plenty of restaurants not far away. Would not recommend breakfast as plenty of better (value and quality) options nearby. Hotel is very well located for city centre - Yong'anli is the nearest metro stop, take exit A2, walk behind LG Twin Towers, turn right and it is around a 2 minute walk. Small night-time market in street outside hotel - avoid buying, but very safe, no trouble. Sightseeing tours desk in reception - would recommend you avoid if at all possible! I only went as non-Mandarin speaking and couldn't find a better way to see the Great Wall. You will visit all the sites promised, but you'll be taken to a Jade factory (high pressure to buy at outrageously inflated prices from a shiny salesroom), tea house (nice introduction with tea tasting, but absolutely rip-off prices) and best of all a complimentary foot massage - during which doctors and professors will appear from all sides, read your palm for 10 seconds in order to prescribe you essential medicine, only £180 per month for 3 months! Good to get you up to the Great Wall if you're alone, but find your own way to city centre attractions for a much better experience with much less hard-selling!

"Good enogh for a very short stay."
Hotel location is little difficult to find. You need carry hotel name and directions in Chinese. Hotel may be worth for the money. Staff doesn't know English, so you better go with a guide.

"Fabulous Old Beijing "
A terrific hotel in the heart of a fabulous historic section of Beijing. Feels like you've gone back in time, and the old courtyards in the hotel are a quiet respite from busy Beijing. The hotel amenities are very comfortable, though not luxurious, the hotel staff friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was fine. Best part is that it is not some big anonymous marble clad hotel that you could find anywhere, this looks and feels authentic.

"Ok for budget traveller"
I would recommend this hotel for budget traveller. However your degree of tolerance would need to be high. Prepare your own tissue paper as no toilet paper was provided. There was a strange smell whenever I entered the room. Some guest might be smoking in other rooms. So you would expect what kind of smell you would get from the centralised conditioning system. The staffs are nice and will try to attend to your request at their best. Overall, an acceptable place for sleeping.
