The concierge team was outstanding, going above and beyond to secure entrance tickets to various sights of interest for us, which can be tricky for foreigners to do on their own. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I arrived at 5 am, long before check-in time. They went out of their way to get a room ready for me as fast as possible, and offered me free breakfast while I was waiting.

Great stay at Lanou Hotel in Beijing! The location is fantastic—close to many popular attractions, which made sightseeing so easy. The front desk staff were super friendly and check-in was very efficient. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. As a business traveler, I really appreciated the smooth experience. Beijing was our first leg of a China trip so we were still completely uncomfortable with the language barrier. The staff (especially Mark in concierge) spoke English well so that we could ask for assistance and advice. Staff throughout the stay are extremely nice... always smiling. There is so much included in this hotel above and beyond the gorgeous decor and clean rooms. You could go the whole stay without paying for a meal (please tip the amazing staff though) because there is free breakfast...

There is a lot of competition for hotels in Beijing. This one lives up to its status as a luxury hotel. The decor is spectacular, filled with lacquer, silk, and original artwork. The staff is incredibly professional. I did have a problem with the wifi and the staff went out of their way to solve the problem. And the location is really good, not far from historical/cultural sites, restaurants, and a metro stop.

Great experience for Beijing ! A quaint boutique hotel located in one of the Beijing Hutongs, it offered us a unique local flavored experience. The facilities are traditional Chinese, with wooden floors and rustic themed rooms. However, rooms are fully equipped with everything you need. They also have cute little balconies from where you can drink tea while transporting yourself back in time. The staff was the best part. Very nice, always available and catering to our every need. Massive breakfast selection! Property is clean and staff was helpful!

Upon arriving my wife explained that we had a taxi that refused to use the meter and charged almost 4 times the usual fare. Having taken a picture of the side and license plate of the cab the concierge immediately called the cab company and the authorities on our behalf. After extensive discussion the entire fare was refunded later that day. Enquiries at the concierge desk were always handled with professionalism and friendliness not always found from concierges. Absolutely amazing place.... really... top of the line. Everything was spot on ... and the staff so friendly and professional... the location... gym, restaurants, bar, all amenities including breakfast... and the direct entrance to the mall next door... complete outstanding!!!
