“I have never cancelled a hotel after walking in the room. The smell of mildew when you walked into the room was red flag number one. The bed cover had some crusty like material on it along with what looked like stains you would see in someone’s underwear that did not wipe properly. We curiously looked under the bed cover to find a stained bed sheet with the same streak like appearance. Needless to say we left. The woman at the reception desk offered to change our room and we denied. I would not……

“Very disappointing stay. We arrived expecting a Wyndham property, only to find that the hotel had been switched to a Choice property and was undergoing major renovations. Our first room, 218, had a strange odor, and we discovered what appeared to be black mold covering the bathroom ceiling. We immediately requested another room. Room 209 also had an odd smell and was clearly not cleaned to an acceptable standard. There was approximately two inches of dust behind the nightstand and significant……

“The room was clean and the welcome desk friendly. Unfortunately that is about all the positive I can say. Negatives include a dilapidated building, no working cable/data lite as every Chanel simply gave a channel unavailable error message, the hygiene products were used, the vending machine was both broken and stocked with Great Value brand items, and the kicker was lousy breakfast. (Stake cereal, apples, and white bread. That was all)”

“The room was freshly redone and clean. Staff were excellent. The outside of the building and entrances to the building will need some maintenance. Good stay overall.”
