“The staff was great! The property was beautiful. The fine dining was good. But our room could have been better. The blinds were filthy, My bed had something in it that needed brushed off before I laid down. The bathroom had hair on the walls and the molding was brown from lack of cleaning. This is a beautiful historic hotel. And the staff we encountered were great. But the cleaning staff needs to get better.”

“It was good, I would stay there again.”

“When I arrived, I was informed that no rooms were available, despite having called ahead to let the hotel know I would be arriving late. My reservation had been prepaid through Expedia, yet I was told there was nothing the hotel could do. “Decent stay at a decent price. Helpful staff.”

“A good place to stay for the price”

“Polite and helpful front desk staff. Very comfortable bed!”

“Room was very clean as well as living and dining room. Staff did excellent job to accommodate us and breakfast was very good. Exterior entry as well as the porch floor, swing and chairs were a mess with bird poo and a stack of cardboard on the porch made the entry unpleasant”

“Excellent stay except for small issue when we checked in our room’s bathroom had not been cleaned by housekeeping. Staff was nice enough to upgrade us to a different and larger room. It’s obvious these facilities (villa rooms) are brand new so it’s expected that everything is very nice. All rooms have views of the lake and have porches to relax at. Restaurant is walking distance and the food was very good. Overall nice weekend stay. Just hope that as time passes they keep it in the same……
