We booked a boat tour though anywherecostarica.com along the Río Frío in the Caño Negro wildlife area.

Absolutely worth it! They pick you up right at your hotel, take you to the boat, spend a couple hours on the river spotting wildlife, provide lunch and drop you back off at your hotel.

We booked a boat tour though anywherecostarica.com along the Río Frío in the Caño Negro wildlife area.

Absolutely worth it! They pick you up right at your hotel, take you to the boat, spend a couple hours on the river spotting wildlife, provide lunch and drop you back off at your hotel.

"Lovely host. Unfortunately no one was there when we attempted to check in on the first day and we stayed elsewhere as driving there at night was not safe. Our host had left her sister there to meet us but her sister left. We called 5x and did not get an answer. Windows need exterior cleaning and screens installed so you can open them. Doors need spaces around them closed up as there were many insects coming in."
