“The property is very dated, dark and depressing. There is no grass or yard around the pool area, and you had to go through a colony of gophers to get to the pool. The breakfast was good, but the area again was dark, hot and grease smelling. Never again!”

“This accommodation is positioned outside of town in a local neighborhood. While the property is not in a remote location, it is relatively enclosed with obscured views of nearby residential streets and houses. The guesthouse features a relatively small number of rooms each with individual external access. The rooms open to a central courtyard with external seating outside of most of them. Guests have access to a small cozy dining area open 24/7 that features coffee/tea, small library of books……

“It was everything we needed it to be! Perfect for us and the dog to explore Taos. ”

“So I’ll start with the positive, I’ve stayed in several historical hotels in San Antonio, Austin, Manatou Springs, and La Fonda is definitely historic. That being said, our room had holes in the wall and obvious patches on others with no evidence of new paint. I had booked a suite (bedroom and sitting room), but got a two bedroom room with no sitting area. If it had been any other weekend (Feista), I would have refused the room. The staff was cordial, very limited amenities, but wonderful……
