“We thoroughly enjoyed our 4-night stay at The Docent's Collection. The staff was outstanding (shout-out to Spencer and Sarah!). The apartment we stayed in was roomy, impeccably clean, and well-furnished. We had everything we needed for our stay. Security was great, parking was easy, and right next to a police parking lot, so very secure. We look forward to staying here again!”

“The Blind Tiger was one of the best accommodations I've ever stayed in! The location was perfect – far enough away from the "bustle" of downtown but close enough to walk to many spots (Smalls was a favorite!). The daily breakfast was so great and the room, my goodness! Adorable, perfect, comfortable... best sleep of my life! Maggie was so helpful and accommodating and made our stay really special. All in all, highly recommend!”

“Clean, beautiful room with a vintage feel. Great staff, very attentive. If you have a show to go to they offer a car service to take you there. It’s a 5 minute walk to the theater though so that was nice. Tandem bakery is right next door. You have to get coffee and pastries. Make sure to get a loaded biscuit. ”

“Given there's no staff onsite, questions and communication are all remote, leading to delay in response. Rooms were cold and heating was hard to adjust. ”

“Stuff was great. We wish that pool was a little bigger as there was always someone there and it was a little crowded. And just wish that bathroom has a fan above when you have a shower it’s a little too much . ”

“I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. The staff was warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Im very picky and they made sure my stay was a 10/10. The location couldn’t have been more perfect conveniently situated close to everything I wanted to see and do, yet still peaceful and relaxing. “Excellent breakfast option for eggs or tasty fresh yogurt. One day out of four they strangely neglected to clean the room, even with a door sign requesting service, but the night front desk person took it upon herself to do so when we noted the problem after returning around dinner time. She’s a gem. Showers were excellent. Rooms were reasonably sized too. Request a third floor if you don’t like the sound of people above your room walking around as the hardwood floors amplify this. “What a gorgeous property and very pleasant stay! Thank you to the entire team for the immaculate, unique setting. We felt welcomed the moment we arrived, enjoyed the sunrise from the huge windows overlooking the water, and the delicious continental breakfast. The location overlooks a lovely beach and walking path and we enjoyed the serenity and delicious dining in South Portland as well as the convenience to Old Port. We would definitely return and have mentioned the inn to friends. Thanks……
