The only complaint was the door leading to the basement is very dangerous. My children thought it was the bathroom door and fell down the stairs. Other then that the stay was great!!

My stay at the inn was very pleasant. The only thing I struggled with which wasn't a big deal is the fireplace in the room, even on the lowest temp, makes the room very hot. I ended up just turning it off completely. I'm sure in the winter months this will be delightful. The fireplace looks nice and the room in cozy. It's just I found the heat pumping out of it very hot, even when turned all the way down. No biggy. I would definitely come back. Beautiful inn. The beds are very cozy.

I love this place! Check in is always smooth and the staff is always friendly. I really like the room set up with the separate living space from the sleeping space, and also a separate full kitchen area. Breakfast is included and always good with a large variety to choose from. They also have a free light supper a few nights a week. I sleep so well as the mattress and pillows are wonderful. The toiletries are nice and the towels are thick. Going to the Harraseeket Inn is like time traveling, but with the option of taking a smart phone and having the electricity to charge it. It's like that movie, "Somewhere in Time," like you've walked through a time portal by the power of hypnotic suggestion and an Expedia booking. But it is very much, at the same time, part of the present. They have a pool, and the restaurant is quintessentially the definition of a timeless Maine eatery. This hotel is in the perfect location to walk to everything around the waterfront. I had a really late check in because of a delayed flight and the staff was very accommodating. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Portland!

This was truly an outstanding experience. The accommodations and the staff were excellent.
The hotel is walking distance to so many shops and restaurants. From the front desk to the doormen, all were polite, friendly and eager to recommend venues.
The hotel restaurant was one of the best I had been to in a long time. We hadn't planned on eating there but we're so glad we did.

The staff was super friendly. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The Francis is located close to everything we needed. I loved sitting by the fire with my wife reading. There was space to park and we walked almost everywhere we went. We look forward to staying again.

This property is beautiful. It sits in the historic area of the old port. It is very close to the waterfront, restaurants, shops and historic areas. The mattress and sheets were superb. While in the old port, we took a trolley tour which took us out to Portland headlight and then gave us a tour of of the old port. You can catch fairies from about two or three minutes walk away, we would strongly recommend this hotel.

Excellent. Seems like they finally paid attention to the small details. Night light in bathroom, shower stall instead of tub, bar in shower to help shave your legs, blackout shade instead of curtains. Hot tea and coffee bar 24*7. Pet friendly, even accommodated us with a first floor room so it would be easier to walk out dogs. Begin to end great stay.
