Fun at the “Fun House”

Fun does not begin to describe the “Fun House”! We had a fabulous family weekend. The house is stunning. So much space for us to spread out and relax. A lot of thought and effort has gone into the amenities of the house. We had so much fun playing ALL of the games and the movie theater. We were able to bring our boat and found a great little lakeside restaurant for lunch. The boat launch is very close and convenient to the house. We look forward to returning when the weather is warm to enjoy skiing and the gorgeous pool. Nikole, thank for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Cousins Weekend 2024

The Funhouse is exactly as advertised! We have rented many homes and this one absolutely lives up to its billing. The amenities are amazing and we enjoyed them all — the pool, the hot tub, the grill, the paddle boards and kayaks, the theater room, the pool table, the air hockey table, the video game console and the awesome putt putt course. Everything works, all instructions are clear, everything is well organized, and the owners are very responsive. We had minigolf trophies made up in advance which made it even more fun for all the cousins (who ranged in age from 54 to 5 months; 5 mo yr old was helping his mom in the baby born)! It is very clear how thoughtful the owners are from the design of their home, to the amenities included, to the clarity of the communications. Thank you Mike and Nikole! The Funhouse will definitely be on our return list.

Amazingly peaceful property

We had a wonderful one week stay at the Fun House. It is located in a very quiet, relaxing area, surrounded by nature. Beautiful pool, deck and screened-in porch. Great amenities inside, like the home theater, air hockey and billiards table, darts and more. Bedrooms are all good sizes and comfortable. Hosts were very quick to respond to our questions. Overall, a very peaceful retreat.

"This is the Best Day of My Life!"

My family stayed at this wonderful home for a week. The ages ranged from 4 to 70+. This was truly more like a resort than a home! All of us had a blast whether it was playing billiards, electronic games, table games, making smores, water play in both the pool and the lake. My youngest learned to swim at the pool! This is the little one that told us every day "This is the Best Day of my Life!" We loved every minute of the vacation here too! The pool had many wonderful features: contoured seats in the water, overhead umbrellas, waterfalls. There was an outdoor refrigerator, pool toys and safety vests, floats. The whole family spent a lot of time on the lake too. The paddleboards and kayaks were a wonderful addition. There was no, "I'm bored..." The owners were wonderful and accommodating too. I highly recommend this place!

Thirty Something Girls Weekend

This home is absolutely perfect! The pool, bbq, hot tub, lake, kitchen, bedrooms…we wouldn’t have changed a thing. It was the perfect place for us to recharge by the pool, paddle board down the river and have the best time. Nikole is extremely communicative and helpful throughout the entire process. We will be staying here again! 12 out of 10 experience!

Weekend Getaway

This home was perfect for our little family weekend getaway. The wet weather did not keep us from enjoying our time away from home. The kids had a blast as this house had so much to offer. I would highly recommend to anyone. Pool, hot tub, theatre, pool table, fire bit, beautiful bedrooms and a really nice dock to fish off of. Thank you for the memories created!

A wonderful home!

The house is fantastic, the pool amazing and being right on the lake just tops off this wonderful home. The house is kept immaculate. It is well stocked with games for the children, life jackets for the lake, fishing rods and pool floaties. The pool is beautiful and the outside seating area is gorgeous. And then being able to kayak/paddle board straight from the yard is incredible. The home owners are very responsive, helpful and friendly in their communications. We had such a wonderful, relaxing time!

THE Best !

This house was as advertised and actually more than we expected :-) Every aspect was phenomenal. All was well maintained and SPOTLESS. We didnt need/want to leave the property - everything was there to keep us entertained and having so much fun😆One trip to a supermarket to restock and it was a short drive. Nikole responded to any texts right away, she was so easy and pleasant to communicate with before and during our stay. Just a side note, if anyone in your party has an issue with stairs, you may want to take into account, that the most direct access to the pool deck from main floor of house, has about 15 steps. However, from the bottom level, its a flat walk right to that deck 👍 There were 10 of us family-gals celebrating my daughters 50th bday and this property offered everything to make our stay perfect !

Great Lake house!

This is a wonderful house! It is very well stocked and even had booster seats, high chairs, and a pack and play for Littles. There was plenty of outdoor and indoor seating and all the rooms were spacious. The property was very clean. The pool is absolutely amazing and the hot tub is large enough to fit multiple people comfortably. There are many options for water sports with the kayaks and standup paddleboard. The inlet is calm, which is nice for swimming in the lake. Overall great house and we had a fantastic time!!

Fun week at the fun house!

We’ve been vacationing at Lake Norman for the past 8 years and everyone in our group agreed this house was our favorite. It had everything we needed and then some. The activities for the kids was endless. Not once did we hear “Mom, I’m bored”. Pool and outdoor eating areas were our favorite. Put putt course was well kept and in the shade. Inside of the house stayed nice and cool. The basement was loaded with things to keep our crew entertained when the sun went down. Would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing and Great Location!

The "Funhouse" was great! We had a group of 11, including 6 adults and 5 kids ranging in age from 4 to 14. There was a ton for everyone to do and stay entertained. The location at the north end of the lake was much quieter and less congested than other parts, giving us lots of room to do fun watersports! The walk to and from the dock on the lake was easy and short, and had almost no stairs. The dock itself was in fantastic shape and we were able to fish, swim, and tie up the pontoon boat we rented. There were also kayaks and paddleboards we used quite a bit! We had some rainy days, but the number and quality of the amenities in and around the house kept us happily occupied. The mini-golf in the front yard was a ton of fun! Nikole was very responsive to text messages when we had questions, and provided some great suggestions on restaurants, boat rentals, groceries, etc. Overall, a great house and a great week away!

Awesome family vacation

Our family is fortunate enough to spend a week together each year. We decided to stay at a lakehouse versus our traditional beach adventure, and everyone had a great time! The house and pool were amazing, and we rented a boat and jet ski to enjoy time on the lake. Everyone in the family raved about how much fun we had. The theater room was a great way to enjoy some movies after long days on the lake and in the pool. The house was a perfect fit for our large clan.

Funhouse

The funhouse was truly a gem! The house was clean, updated, and full of amenities. The kitchen was fully equipped. We had rainy weather the majority of our stay, but there was so much to do in the funhouse! There was mini golf, a movie theater, air hockey, pool, arcade, and closet full of games. The pool and hot tub were beautiful. Also, our host was extremely accommodating and very responsive. She even went over and beyond to get a birthday gift for our 8 year old. I would definitely recommend this house!!
