the Alander

10/10 Excellent
"I had a very short stay at the Alander, arriving at 10pm and checking out at 7:45. Their contactless, online check in and key code made my arrival quick, quiet and easy. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The only thing I would have like was some body lotion in the room, as I usually opt to travel without my own, but that a very minor, personal detail."

The Millerton Inn

The Millerton Inn

8/10 Good
"The hotel is beautiful, but unfortunately the restaurant was closed the night of our stay and we were disappointed because we planned on eating there. I guess I should have checked the restaurant hours before booking. Most of the town had businesses that were closed in the middle of the week, so just be aware when you book. The person working the desk recommended a restaurant outside of town and it was good. There was no one at the front desk when we checked out early in the morning. The sign in the room and at the front desk instructed us to leave our keys in the lockbox by the front desk, but we could not find one and so we left the keys behind the desk. The bath in room #11 was awkward in that the shower only had a handheld shower head with no place to attach it for taking a shower so it needed to be held the whole time. I imagine that was because the tub had a slanted ceiling that was sheetrock. The hotel was nice and the location was very convenient to the Harlem Valley Rail Trail, so I would recommend it."
