“Clean rooms, quiet, great bed plus good quality towels. Friendly staff”

“Room was a bit dated, in need of a paint brush as much of the woodwork was peeling. Bathroom was adequate with a shower over the bath and quite a high step getting in and out. Toilet made an awful noise through the plumbing, and a previous occupiers bar of soap left on floor of electric radiator. Bed was comfortable and the room warm. Communal spaces littered with room service crockery from the time I arrived until the time I left. Reception staff pleasant, and the breakfast was the highlight……

“Bed was soft and mattress tilting me floorward. Shower tray was blocked, cutting short my shower. The bathroom sink was the size of a dentist's spit basin making it impossible to shave. Lights in the communal corridor didn't switch on with any of the switches so be sure to have a torch with you to safely stay this hotel. No bedside table or power socket anywhere near the bedside. I wouldn't stay here again.”

“Wow what a fabulous find this hotel was. From the moment we walked through the door we were met by a friendly receptionist who showed us around. We had a garden patio room and it was gorgeous. Our evening meal was divine, I had Stonebass and my husband had Tomahawk Pork. Breakfast was outstanding, the best my husband says he has ever had! We will be returning.”

“Lovely Breakfast included. Owner was very attentive and made you feel very welcome. Only downside was that the shower head would not stay up and was held up by blue tack. Room was cold, but staff quickly sorted this. Food was great. The pub is very pretty!”

“The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our room was 1st rate - having been upgraded to an executive room! The general feelfid not come over as a 4* establishment eg Staff attire was very casual and at times slovenly.”

“Breakfast was good and the room comfortable. We were however in an upstairs annex and the room was incredibly noisy overnight (boiler?). Didn't get much sleep”

“Really great location and easy check in and out but the room was SO hot we couldn’t sleep, there was a fan but it didn’t do much. Our windows also opened into the balcony which didn’t feel very private ”
