"We loved our Labor Day Weekend at Brook Street Retreat. It’s a quiet and private neighborhood steps away from a brewery and near a coffee shop, ice cream shop and restaurants. There’s good space to spread out and amazing views of the lake. The games were a big plus for our family getaway."

"The photos for this place do not do it justice. This may be the best property I've ever stayed at. The cottages were both adorable, the outdoor table and fire pit and were perfect, including being fully stocked with wood. The screen porch overlooking the lake was one of our favorite hang out spots on the property. There was so much care and attention put in to everything, it really elevated our weekend. Absolutely thinking of excuses to come back out this way so we can stay here again. Just fabulous."

"Manhattan Beach is very nostalgic for me. We’ve been going to Crosslake for the last 20 years. Manhattan Beach is iconic to those of us who travel to this area. The lodge itself is an old building but well taken care of. There’s not a ton of amenities on property. However, you’re right on the lake. It has a fantastic beach for “littles” and adults alike and the lawn provides an area to play or sit in the chairs to relax. You can’t beat the view for sunsets"

"The house was beautiful and had everything we needed. The setting was picturesque and relaxing, and we thoroughly enjoyed our long holiday weekend before the kids went back to school. It was the perfect end to our summer. Our four families had plenty of room inside and out, and the pontoon was the center of fun for the fishermen and kids. Fishing was excellent every day, even right off the dock, and the yard games, kayaks, and beach area kept the kids busy when they weren’t fishing. Meals were easy to prepare in the well-stocked kitchen, with plenty of space to eat together indoors or outside on the wonderful deck. Town was only a few miles away if we needed anything. Greg was easy to communicate with and responded quickly whenever we needed him. We also loved the firepit area, where kids and adults enjoyed making s’mores every night. I highly recommend this beautiful property to anyone looking for an enjoyable vacation. You won’t be disappointed. Thank you, Greg!"

"At first we were a little taken aback that there was no front desk clerk. But the owners texted us our individual door code which was also the same as our room code. They seemed to be very responsive as they replied to my “thank you”. That gave me some assurance that we could get a hold of someone, if needed. The room was updated and clean. Nice large screen tv, a good fridge, and comfy beds and pillows. Maybe I felt the carpet could’ve used replacing but everything was in overall excellent condition. We did not use the pool facilities or breakfast as we were visiting family in the area. It’s just a short drive to the grocery, walkable during the day. And another short drive to the downtown Nisswa area. Everything looked clean and bright! I’ll post some pics I took—forgot to take one of the room though! It was a pleasant stay & was within our budget. Would return again!"

"This is a high quality property which provided our family of 12 (3 generations) with a very comfortable and enjoyable week on a beautiful lake. We have rented many cabins over the years and this has been one of our best experiences. We do hope to find another week next year to return!"
