“So nice I came back for a second visit”

“We are currently on a 5,000 mile road trip through New England- a ‘bucket list’ trip we’ve been planning for years- with lodging varying from Wyndham to Hilton’s and others in between. When we found this resort on Expedia, we happily booked a room. To be completely honest, this was the most anticipated stop of our trip. Then we found out the hot air balloons would be there the same weekend and it made it that much more exciting… until we got there. The whole facility was very run down. The roads……

“We loved our stay here and the staff was super helpful and kind. The property is beautiful and the rooms are very nicely updated. The staff is so kind and they went above and beyond with any simple request. The only reason I gave the amenities a 4 instead of 5 is they were closed due to some rainy weather. I love a hot tub in the rain, but maybe some lightening was forecasted that I did not see. The best rating comes from our son : “Ok, this place gets 10 stars. First of all, the shower is……

“Would highly recommend AWOL. Excellent location walkable from the village, but also far enough to feel like you are in your own retreat. We stayed in the lodge and the room was very nice—good bed, TV, bathroom, amenities. The breakfast is terriific and much better than the standard free continental breakfast. It was rainy so didn’t use the hot tubs, hammock, etc. but it was all there.”

“Everything with the room itself was great. It was clean and in a great location. My issue with this reservation was the amenities. They are not inlcluded. So even though the listing says they have pools and hot tubs, don't expect to be able to use them unless you pay more when you get there. This should be made clear to anyone that books at this resort. ”

“Super clean and private cabins! Really liked how we could come and go from our own private area. I loved how much space we had in the 1 bedroom cabin including the full kitchen. The only downside is the shower as it’s tiny (like 3ft x 3ft). There were free-to-use kayaks by the lake. The swimming pool and game room were a great bonus and they had dvds free to borrow. Will definitely be coming again!”
