“My low review is directly associated with the water temperature. The first morning I was there, there never was hot water in the morning. I took an absolutely cold shower. The second morning the water was lukewarm at best. There were a lot of soccer players there the first night, families with children, and I was told by the staff that they must used all the hot water. I was assured the water would be hot/warm the next day since they has checked out. However, the second morning the water was……

“Staff is friendly and willing to offer recommendations of nearby places to visit. Establishment was clean and well maintained. They have a beautiful display of live plants throughout the lobby providing a lovely welcoming feeling. I appreciated their large display of menus of nearby restaurants. If I visit Gettysburg again I will be using this location again.”

“We stayed at Visitation during our son and DIL marriage in the Frederick courthouse- afterwards we reserved dinner at Wye Oak Tavern. The environment, presentation and superior taste of food made for a memorable evening. They treated us with a glass of complimentary champagne to celebrate our night and we never felt rushed to leave that evening. It was a special night and our stay at hotel was superb - rooms were immaculate and comfortable- hotel grounds were lovely to relax.”

“Great location and large room, downside was no staff on site; we needed to call to get someone from the next door diner to open the door. No welcome or further context. Also no staff when we checked out. Rooms are nice and spacious, the outdoors patio and garden are a great opportunity to relax in, but is current quite empty; if they would make this a bit more cosy and welcoming it would be a lot better.”

“There was an extreme amount of noise from the group of kids above us and several nights we had to ask for quiet to be able to sleep. Running and jumping and loud banging . Running up and down the hall and up and down the stairwell next to our room. It was well past 12 am and then again n before 6 am.”
