“Unique place. No contact with staff physically. Most everything done via email which was fine., just not for everyone. Nice area of town.”

“Dangerous- no protocol or care for guest safety. My mother and I had a very pleasant stay at another Country Inn and Suites in Ohio the night before, so last night on our journey we chose this one. Boy did we have an awful night. The guest next door got extremely inebriated and we were awoken to him pounding on our door aggressively and shouting at 2am. After speaking with the front desk, it turned out he lost his key but was also wandering around without pants, barefoot, with very muddy feet……

“Clean, staff great. Typical motor hotel. Had noisy neighbor. Parking ok, microwave kep shutting off every 10 second. Tripped breaker in strip”

“3 inch gap under door and you could hear everything in the hallway on first floor. No sleep”

“It was the cutest modern motel. My husband and I last-minute planned a getaway to Detroit Lakes for our anniversary. I found Beachfront Haven on the “Visit Detroit Lakes” website in places to stay. It was clean, cute, cozy, affordable, and we felt safe in the area. It is across the street from the lake, surrounded by amazing restaurants. We would absolutely stay here again!”

“This place goes downhill every single year. We stay with a group for Christmas for the last 15 years. Wallpaper is peeling, you are charged for a “resort fee” but the pools aren’t even always working. Dining is subpar. Rooms are very dated and getting worse every year. I think it’s time for our family to move on from thumper pond. ”
