"This was my first time staying at Best Western of Wise, VA. The staff members I met were very nice. My room was comfortable, clean, well lit with a large window wall and easily adjustable blinds. Air conditioning kept the room at a pleasant temperature. The breakfast area offered a variety of hot foods (scrambled eggs, sausage gravy and biscuits, pancake making machine), and cold foods (cereal, yogurt, bread and bagels). My only complaint was that the pool was out of service (under reconstruction until January 2026). Also on Sunday, I had left a note for housekeeping for restock of coffee, hot cups, toilet paper. It was obvious that my room had no services that day. "

"There wasn't anything about this property that we did not like. Cindy, was very helpful when we called ahead and told her we were going to be late arriving. She made the check in process very easy and pleasant. The dining area was always kept clean and the food was hot, tasty, and available. The breakfast was always well stocked. I am a coffee drinker and there was always good hot coffee available! We will certainly stay here again."

"Nottingham Place is truly a HIDDEN GEM! We were so pleasantly surprised with how superb this property was! Soooo much better than any hotel we have ever stayed at, in around Wise, VA! These hosts have truly thought of every possible added touch to make your stay feel special! From the variety of tea and coffee in your room and in the upstairs lounge area that even has extra snacks and muffins, to the basket of potential medicines you may need while traveling. Our mini fridge was stocked with a We truly enjoyed being able to sit out on the beautiful front porch and enjoy the evening air while chatting with other guests! We had no issues the first night parking at the offsite location, as it was on our way just a block away from our favorite Mexican Restaurant in Wise! We truly hope more UVAWise parents will check this wonderful inn out! The history is truly amazing! Our suite was very spacious and although it was considered the Spa En-suite, we didn’t take advantage of it but highly recommend it! We can’t wait for another visit… we will definitely be staying again! Thank you!"

"The check in girl was very helpful and helped us find dinner at a good restaurant instead of what we could see which was fast food. Just down the road about a mile was where the good places were."
