“The Landmark is an older hotel in the heart of Pikeville. Easy to get in the parking lot, plenty of spaces (on a Monday) and the front desk staff were just WONDERFUL. The room was clean if not a little rough around the edges, but for the price, couldn't have been better. In fact, the bed was more comfortable than the last hotel we stayed in for double the price! No breakfast, coffee maker was a little sketch, so had to get my morning cuppa at Hardees. Would absolutely stay there again! ……

“Staff was always very friendly. The only things I didn’t like was the USB outlets next to the bed wouldn’t work and there is nothing on the bottom of the tub to help prevent you from slipping. Hot breakfast was good. Wish they started serving before 7am though. Otherwise, great stay. We would definitely stay there again.”

“The room was clean and the staff were all very nice, but I had paid for a hotel with a pool so that my husband and grandchild would have something fun to do while we took the car and attended a local concert. Needless to say , the pool was closed, had been undergoing renovations since February and we were highly disappointed and nowhere was this stated on the hotel website. It as hard for a 3 year old to understand why they couldn’t go swimming. We made the best of it , just would have liked a……

“Nice place to stay right in town. However there was an overall musty smell and one of our rooms had soaked carpet from the air. The staff was wonderful and moved us to a different room.”

“The 2nd and 3rd floor are former smoking rooms that still have the horrible stench of the smoke. The 1st room I was in had a cracked window that I felt was unsafe. The 2nd room was a former smoke room. My 3rd room was back on the 1st floor with a horrible smelling desk chair....like sweat, body odor. Would never recommend this hotel.”

“Breakfast is subpar. Worst one I ever scene in a hotel. Even the coffee was terrible. Rooms nice and open. If you are in a wheelchair it’s very easy to access around. One of the cleaning ladies seemed very unhappy so I tipped her $20 hoping I see a smile. It didn’t help but I got a nice thank you. Staff seems new to what was going on. One stayed on his phone all the time but answered questions and needs. Overall it has nice rooms. I slept well.”

“Great property for a large group. Plenty of space for all types of vehicles, motorcycles, ATVs, etc. Comfortable rooms, plenty of bathrooms, and air conditioning available in every common area and bedroom. Great communication from the property owners. Overall, a fantastic vacation rental.”
