"Wonderful stay convenient to Inner Harbor"
We spent four nights at the beginning of our Victoria trip and then a final night several days later after a 3-day visit to Pender Island. Everything was wonderful! The reception staff were friendly and very helpful, remembered us, and we enjoyed greeting them each day. They gave good recommendations for dinners out, but their friendly bar had some good happy-hour deals. We had two types of room. The first was a split level with beds upstairs, couch, TV, kitchen and bath downstairs. We recommend this to anyone wanting to cook in a bit, or store leftovers in the fridge and reheat in microwave (there is a stove, too). Our second room at the end of our trip was a regular room with king-size bed, bath with tub, small table and chairs. The hotel is right across the street from the Victoria Clipper, so convenient for roller-board suitcases. It was also in easy walking distance (12 min) to the main bus stop if you wanted to catch buses to Butchart Gardens or to Swartz Bay to catch ferries to nearby islands like Pender. It was also about a 10-minute walk to Fisherman's Wharf and maybe 15 min to The Empress Hotel and all the whale watching establishments. One of the best assets is the fabulous breakfast each morning (scrambled eggs, ham, Swiss and cheddar cheeses, chocolate croissants, raison/current scones, regular Danish, yummy fruit bowl, cereals, and yogurt, and of course, coffee and tea). Great place to enjoy Victoria!!!
