Everything they said and more. Just great room, service and amenities! Great location as well

Check-in process was frustrating. Parking is limited. There was trash in my room left from a previous guest. They advertise a beach shuttle but make sure if you’re not getting picked up at a specific time that you call early, they don’t always answer the phone or check their voicemail. Then when the front desk employee finally picked up the phone, she said another couple had just called and she’d pick me up next, and while I was still talking she hung up on me so I ended up just walking back. My last day there, another employee tried to make me squeeze onto the shuttle with another couple, I said everyone else has made us ride separately and I don’t mind waiting, she said ok, but then when she got back she said she had to hand wash a huge stack of dishes before we left?! The beach chair they gave me was dirty and the pillow had black mold growing on it. The breakfast was ok but it starts late at 0800. Happy hour includes things like Natural Light beer. It’s a bit dingy, grimy, and rundown; my bathroom shelf was totally falling off the wall. There’s like no counter space either. There was a lot of accumulated filth around the door etc. (pics). The alarm clock just wasn’t plugged in which was weird and annoying, why even leave it there with no accessible plug? They use the super cheap, single-use motel toiletries so I’d bring your own. You can hear everything in the hallways and people just stood outside my room talking. I would not stay here again or recommend staying here.

The overall stay was excellent. We are not from the USA and contacting our Concierge on a foreign number proved difficult and email l didn’t work either. We also noted that the glasses were not replenished in the morning and we had difficulty obtaining wine glasses to be delivered to our room, despite several requests. Eventually, 35 minutes later, the front desk showed initiative and delivered them herself! Other than these small matters, this is a superb hotel.

Beautiful hotel and pool . Would be nice if they had more options for food . In addition, if they had more options for snacks at the front . A restaurant in the hotel and an inside bar would be appreciated. They had this next door at the other hotel, but I believe that it opens at 4. Towel warmers at the pool is a nice feature . However, being told that the towels all have chips in them and if not returned , you are charged 25 per towel . I do know that even if this is possible , which it is not, it s an insult Cannot hear people in the other rooms or hall- which is wonderful: Rooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean . Housekeepers attentive and prompt . Allows dogs , which is amazing . Some front desk staff need some training on local activities . Mainly - a beautiful hotel . Isle of Palms is a 15 to 20 min drive and Charleston - a 5 to ten min drive . Harris teeter, Starbucks , etc right outside of the entrance to the resort . Wouks stay again.

Perfect location. In the heart of a shopping district and close to popular restaurants.
