My original room wasn't very clean. There was mold on the ceiling, everything was damp from humidity, metal items in the room were rusty, there were flies everywhere, and haur in the bathrub. The AC wasn't working. I asked to switch rooms. The second room was better. Still a bit dirty with rusted items and a dirty carpet and dusty furniture, but better than the first room. The staff wasn't super friendly and didn't tell me where my room was. However, the bed in my room was clean and everything else was okay. Hot water in the shower and clean towels.

The female ( if I remember correctly her name might be Kim)at the registration desk was rude, arrogant and argumentative. Breakfast was just terrible and coffee lukewarm. The side entrance doors into the building were left permanently unlocked and created safety issue.

Location is great and the last time I stayed here several years ago the hotel was nice. Now it's dated and the bathroom needs work (caulk, grout, cleanliness). This should be a prime location for LaQuinta and they are missing the mark.

Pool was green with algae until our last day. U asked about it everyday until it was cleaned. No mini fridge or microwave in our room. Weed smoke is all you’ll smell….. even on the non smoking floors. The staff drive through the parking lot very fast and has music extremely loud. Just not cool. I love Charleston and we have frequently visited this hotel since 2018, but this will be our last stay there. Gone down the drain.

Where to start... in the shower the curtain rod was falling off the wall which didnt allow the curtain to stay closed. The wifi router was hanging by a cord over the door. The outside door didnt seal at the bottom which allowed a bug in, which I had crawling across my face at 4 in the morning. Couldnt control volume on the TV. Alarm clock was unreadable. Sign said there was ice but no ice machine in the detached building/set of rooms. No hot breakfast left at 8AM. We were there 2 days and room service didn't come once. Only nice things were location to Charleston, pool to ourselves and A/c worked.

We had a king room and asked to be moved to a room with a refrigerator. They were very accommodating. Room was large and clean. A few things could have been newer. I went to take a bath and there was no stopper to hold the water in. But I didn't go ask for one because I was already in the tub. Otherwise I would recommend.

The pool was closed 3 out of the 7 days we stayed and that was not acceptable. Housekeeping will only come in every 3 days and didnt service the room when asked. We had to go to the front desk and ask for towels and toilet paper
