“Had an event across the street at Amy Greenwell, and my grandparents would always book here when we’d be on this side of the island. It’s older, but being able to walk right up to the restaurant is worth it, and in the morning it’s so peaceful to just sit out on the porch”

“I don’t complain about the sound in the night(frog, birds). I am ok for that. House service people make me uncomfortable. ”

“Room is clean, staff are nice We had an enjoyable stay.”

“Pure, real Hawaii. Wonderful community and hosts. And the cat… The ceiling fans were silent and air was fresh with no AC. No Hawaiian mildew.”

“Great spot! Loved the studio and the gardens and the outdoor shower.”

“This place is ideal! It is super nice, well located and has everything you need and more. Meg and Brad make you feel very welcome. I highly recommend it. And yes, the view is stunning.”

“Kendall was a wonderful host! Made the entire process very simple for us and stocks the property with more than we’d need. Wonderful home, amazing view, and a great coffee bean roasting tutorial.”

“It is really very close to the beach, you can even walk it.i also love the place itself. very quiet. The only thing really is the air con is very loud that you can’t sleep! That is the tie breaker. Either you sleep in comfort with the loud sound of the air conditioner blasting loud into your ear or hot but quiet during the night. I always end up turning off the air and just taking off my clothes under the covers Lol. Also the small window by the back porch doesn’t have a curtain so the neighbor……

“Second stay at the Holualoa Country house. It’s a great place.”

“This is a great spot for the individual or couple wanting a clean, reasonably priced place to explore Kona and the rest of the Big Island. It is an easy walk to Magic Sands Beach, and it’s a short drive (4 miles) from the touristy dinning and shopping area. The host is very friendly, and communicative. The onsite coin operated laundry machines really help you pack less for a longer trip. The kitchen is modest, but well equipped with plates, bowls, cups, various utensils, pot, pan, hot plate,……
