"Was there for a conference and stayed through the hurricane. I cannot express enough gratitude for the excellent staff at Grand Naniloa. From the kitchen - yes still catering and offering clean water, to the engineers to the front desk to the valet and cleaning crews. This was a stressful time for everyone around the islands and especially for Hawaii! This hotel did a great job keeping us all informed, safe, fed and hydrated through a wild weekend. Sure it would have been nice to "use more amenities," but watching the hotel operate as a well oiled machine during a storm was magic. Glow sticks during the power outage was cherry on top! Thank you for welcoming evacuees and guests with aloha and flexibility! You have my business for life!"

There is a beach/bay practically in the backyard where you can snorkel (and see some cool fish/coral) kayak, paddle board etc. Amenities were great (pool, beach towels/chairs, bikes) but do require a $25/day charge NOT included in the Expedia prices. The view from our room was absolutely amazing (ocean and mountain). Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! Worth the stay, the price, and would stay here again and/or recommend this to a friend! :)"
