Our bathroom had a sour, mildew smell when we came in. The hallway outside our room also smelled like urine. We weren’t staying long so we figured we would tough it out. By the second night, the bathroom smell was overwhelming. We opened windows, ran the bathroom fan, and kept the door closed. We felt like to got worse overtime. When we checked out, I told the staff member at the desk to check before the next guest arrived and she seemed to not care.

Be careful when making the reservation through Expedia, since the hotel will charge you the full amount again the day you check-in. They said that the authorized amount during check-in was only for 'safety', but they ended up charging basically the full authorized amount.

Very average place compared to their hotels in the area, the room smelled funny and didn’t seem very clean but overall it was decent. The staff was friendly and the attached bar area is nice. It should be rated about a 3/10

The location of this place is perfect! They had live music in the afternoons by the brewery. Walking distance to everything. The cleanliness is not bad but it is a dog friendly hotel so stains on the carpet are understandable. My room did NOT have a bad odor nor did the halls. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent staff. Ez check-in, great grounds including small bar and restaurant. Live music many nights. Called the staff two times during stay for minor issues with the room, they responded immediately and addressed the problem. Would definitely stay again.

Base camp is a family friendly hotel that offers a convent location to the lake, casinos, shopping and dining. Our room was clean and comfortable. The grounds could use some work but it was fun to have the brewery on property.

We loved the location - ease of parking - a window in the bathroom (like home) the decor - the bed was very comfortable. The only thing that was a slight hassle (as with many motels/hotels) not enough plugs at the bedside.

The property is well located, but looks like they are missing on basic things . We asked for towels and shower caps but no one turned up for hours and when finally it came, they did not have shower caps. There was lack of service and housekeeping. The shower was very absurd… it had such high blasting pressure and it could not be moved or rotated at all. I think they need to take care about all these things for stay . In room facilities like refrigerator, microwave and a small cooler for drinks was good !
