“For a location with a cleaning fee, you would expect it to be clean upon arrival. It had clearly been “spot” cleaned, but we found stained, dirty sheets, dishes with food still on them and dirty bathrooms. There is an infestation of smallish black spiders in the master bedroom and bathroom. We had no communication from the owners, instead found notes left around the property with instructions. “It was exactly as advertized - a quiet cabin with a spectacular view. The cabin was cozy and the host paid attention to little touches like ensuring the electric fire was on when we arrived since it was 20 degrees outside. The farm animals were adorable, the ducks especially! The horses and donkeys were just as friendly. The cabin was far enough from the busy tourists spots but close enough for quick trips. “The property was very clean inside, but the outside was covered in mud. The property manager did give me a heads up a few hours before I arrived, but that doesn’t make up for it being so dirty we couldn’t enjoy the outside area. I wanted to grill but the grill was covered in fuzzy green mold and was unsanitary. The water pressure was erratic and very low. We weren’t able to use the upstairs bathrooms very easily. “We really loved this property! The cabin was exactly what we were looking for — quiet, secluded, and super cozy. All of the amenities listed were provided, and everything was clean and comfortable. We especially appreciated the little touches like games (hello, mancala!) that made it feel even more homey.That said, just a heads-up for future guests: the cabin is located on a very steep hill that wasn’t fully detailed in the listing.
