"I paid for parking w/ the reservation. Unfortunately, while there, damage occurred to the rear window wiper. While I understand the property isn't responsible for damage, the on duty employee promised me that the management would call me and refund my parking fees, sadly neither has happened. I'm disappointed they didn't step up and fix this, as this was a great property & otherwise I'd stay there again. Maybe not at this point. "

"Convenient for business travel. Generally lovely and the location is nice being near Melrose and the Beverly Center (good shopping!) but I’ve had to wipe down the bathroom floors 2 or the 3 times I’ve stayed here as there was dark hair in some of the floor and sink corners, and in the shower (in blonde). I would usually ask for a new room or to have it cleaned but it was either late / I was tired or I was in too much of a hurry to ask. But I will stay there again "

"Usually the last expensive of this neighborhood, so that’s good. Lots of old LA charm. Otherwise, it’s just a cheap hotel in desperate need of a remodel."

"Short stay at Short Stories (2 nights). Great location across from the Farmers Market and the Grove. Nearby buses gave easy access to the museums and the tourist run near the Chinese Theatre. Hotel courtyard is very charming and atmospheric."

"Cute little motel. Booked a bedroom with 1 bed and the room size was spacious. Property and room were cleaned. Was very quiet and not once did we hear an ambulance and we were close to the hospital. Parking was a breeze. Property is kind of in a circle. 1 exit 1 entrance into property. Staff was friendly. AC worked amazing. Shower had hot and cold water however you had to leave the hot water running for about 5 mins before it started getting warm. Presume if water was decent. Bed was a little hard but for the price it was worth it. Will stay again if I go back to LA. Felt safe might plan a family trip here next time. "

"We had an issue with a person with mental issues, who was not a guest at the hotel, harassing us while we were trying to eat at the rooftop bar. We asked the staff to help us, and the response was “what can you do, right?”, and they let the woman continue to bother us. We asked to talk to a manager about the issue when we were checking out, and have yet to received a response almost a week later. The hotel itself is clean and pleasant, the desk staff was helpful, and it is generally a good value"

"The hotel was very fun and nice overall. Excellent service, food, and front desk staff. And, the room was amazing. We stayed for our wedding anniversary and our room was upgraded. We really appreciate this! Love this hotel and will stay here again."
