"The motel has been updated nicely, and our room was large and comfortable. Really nice room. Front desk manager was friendly. They have a door lock system that is very confusing and frustrating. You get five number code based on your phone number and then have to punch them in on a very irregular looking number system key. We couldn’t figure it out, and then the system locked after the third fail. The front desk had to come and open the door. Crazy. Never seen anything like it. No phones in the room, and very little TV access unless you had subscriptions."

The room was well-appointed, clean, and had plenty of space for a family. The amenities were useful and included a microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker. The bathroom was simple but perfectly functional for an overnight stay. The location was also ideal for visiting Lava Beds National Monument, which was the main reason we chose to stay here. Overall, while the exterior may not make the best first impression, the room itself was comfortable, spacious, and had everything we needed for the night."
