Find comfort in this cozy, nearly 100-year-old cottage tucked at the end of a quiet lane. Though in town, it feels like the countryside—surrounded by fields, hills, and visiting deer. The home has vintage charm and a gentle but noticeable tilt from age, with two bedrooms and one bath. The second bedroom doubles as a fun kids’ space, featuring bunk beds and two arcade machines. Enjoy the fire pit, BBQ, and peaceful views. One kind elderly neighbor lives next door with a rustic, well-loved yard.
The space:
Nestled at the end of a quiet dead-end street, this cozy two-bedroom, one-bath cottage offers privacy and charm in a truly unique Klamath Falls setting. With only two nearby (and very friendly) neighbors—both on one side of the house—the property is otherwise surrounded by open fields, rolling hills, and native brush. The open field offers easy walking access and is great for morning strolls, sunset views, or casual bike rides.
Inside, the home is warm and welcoming, with a lived-in vintage feel that reflects its nearly 100-year history. The master bedroom features a comfortable queen bed, while the second bedroom doubles as a fun kids’ space with a twin-over-full bunk bed and two arcade machines — one modded with nearly a thousand classic games for all ages to enjoy. Guests will also find a variety of board games, family activities, and an Xbox with Game Pass, offering plenty of entertainment for cozy nights in.
Both bedrooms and the living room/kitchen have air conditioning and heat to keep guests comfortable year-round.
Despite its peaceful surroundings, the home is within walking distance of Klamath Falls’ movie theaters and several dining options along Campus Drive. Downtown is just a short drive away, featuring coffee shops, restaurants, boutiques, and seasonal community events. The Oregon Institute of Technology (OIT) campus is also conveniently close, making this an ideal stay for visiting families, students, or local event guests.
Guests often enjoy watching deer wander through the property, soaking up hillside views by the fire pit, or grilling outdoors in the evenings. Whether you’re here to explore Crater Lake National Park, fish or kayak in Upper Klamath Lake, or simply unwind in a quiet, countryside-feeling spot within the city, this home provides the perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and local character.
Guest access
All parts of the house and property can be used except for the supply closet in the 2nd bedroom, the locked basement, and the mini house out back. The mini house will be converted to a play area at a later time, but it currently needs some repairs. The field is a great place to explore and hike through, and it offers great views of the town.
Important things to note about the property:
1️: The surrounding neighborhood is older and some homes show their age or are a bit unkempt. It’s a very friendly, safe area, but not a “polished” or newly developed neighborhood. We’ve owned this home for over 11 years and have always appreciated the peaceful setting and kind community and neighbors. It's a very quite neighborhood, so please keep that in mind and be respectful to those around you.
2️: This house is nearly 100 years old, and it looks and feels its age. It’s clean, comfortable, full of character and improvements, but guests should expect an older home with uneven floors and a noticeable tilt (especially in the kitchen). If you appreciate vintage homes with personality rather than modern perfection, you’ll feel right at home here.
We have put huge amount of work and love into this house, so please be respectful and treat it with the care and love we put into it. Thank you so much!
