“Our group of two couples spent a week in a villa on the beach side of the Umaya Resort and absolutely loved it. The unit was nicely appointed and truthfully feet away from the Caribbean Sea. Anytime we had a concern they were very prompt to respond. They transferred us to and from the Placencia Airport free of charge. “This was our second time staying at Caribbean Shores. It's clean, comfortable, and the setting is very relaxing. The hot water wasn't working properly in our shower, but it was at least warmer than the solar showers where we stayed prior. Everything is relative. :). This property is a little ways out of Hopkins Village proper, but there are restaurants in short walking distance. It's also not on the beach, but we weren't looking for that since we liked the location for access to……

“The staff was fabulous. Our room was steps from the water. The grounds are impeccably maintained. The resort is an intimate size which makes it quite and peaceful.”

“We had an Oceanview room on the first floor and the view from the front porch was outstanding - maybe 50-75’ of beach to the water from the front sidewalk. There were half a dozen palapas spread out on the beach in front of the rental units and the HUGE pool that has a swim-up bar. The pier goes out to the hotel restaurant, which looks very new, with updated decor and a very professional and courteous staff.
