"Nice continental breakfast served in the Del Mater Inn down the street. We stayed at the Beekman arms and it was very nice. Nice little carafe of Sherry for the end of the day. No elevator must carry your suitcase up the stairs. Nothing fancy, but very quaint."

"The staff were wonderful, helpful, and amazing. This property appears to be a work in progress with great efforts made to rehab it from a prior state. It was cleaner than I expected and quieter than I expected even though it was full to capacity. Shout out to Michael at the desk for service above and beyond."

"I was so excited when I booked this weekend getaway. The On-site restaurant was said to be one of the best in the Hudson Valley. The reviews were excellent. Evidently, I did not look at all the right reviews. The week before our vacation, the dinner reservations were canceled. When I called to find out why I was told that the restaurant was closed temporarily. I asked about the bar. The bar was also closed. They mentioned that the spa was under construction it was being relocated to another part of the grounds. Evidently, that spa has been under construction for years. The full breakfast that came with the room was indeed a treat. The room was small, but the patio you walk out to was very nice. we were the only guests the last two nights. I don’t think anyone was in the hotel with us, including staff. I was going to ask for the room to be discounted, but I couldn’t find an any one to ask."

"We had a wonderful stay. The staff was helpful, kind and very sweet to my kids. We thought the breakfast was good, the room and common areas were clean, and my kids enjoyed the pool!"

"The place is old, but was refurbished in years past. The closet door mirror was broken. Black ants in the bathroom. On the positive side, it was one minute away from FDR's house and library, and a little bit away from a new shopping center with a supermarket. The guy who checked us in was friendly. Breakfast was waffles and oatmeal; some fruit was out to grab. Hyde Park is not what we expected. The town looks tired. It needs updating in many areas, but at least there is new commerce coming in here and there."
