An attractive rehab on this boutique hotel in Jack London Square. It is simple and tasteful. The lobby is pleasing and welcoming. The staff were helpful and attentive. The room was small but comfortable. The bathroom was clean and efficient. Excellent amenities like a small work-out room and a beautiful pool area, although it was too cold for us to enjoy the pool. There is parking underground but at Twenty dollars a night it felt like a bit of a rip off. There is also a coffee shop attached which is convenient for breakfast.

Picture it, 2:30am and the fire alarms are going off. You and your guest are unsure of what to do because no one is telling you to evacuate your room. You haphazardly dress and leave your room running into many other folks who are just as confused. Until you run into Janice, a mid 50s woman wearing a silk nighty with a plunging neckline. She refuses to take the stairs and asks to be summoned only if a true emergency erupts. She is going back to her guest that apparently cannot make it down the stairs either. I feel like the culprit of the fire alarm caper was one of the very drunk guests their on business or a clown. Seriously, I feel like people had some crazy parties with their conference friends and pulled it.

The inn is tucked away in a business district. It's small and quaint. It's right across the lot from a restaurant AND directly on the marina. If you love boats and the water like I do, then you'll love this place. The room was clean, spacious and well lit. The towels were clean but a few had stains from prior use but the hotel staff replaced them immediately upon request. There's a fridge and microwave in the room! Very convenient!!! There's also a safe for your valuables if needed. The bed was super comfy. We couldn't figure out the heat but there was an extra blanket already in the room. I never made it to breakfast but the coffee in the room, and lobby, was great (Starbucks)! And if you dint want to make your own coffee, Starbucks is only afew lights down the street. ;) Overall, I would definitely stay here again when in the Alameda area.

My only complaint was driving. My phone map app couldn't deal with the closure of Embarcadero, when I called they were unable to give me good directions from my location. It took me an extra half hour to get there after a long stressful day of flying and driving already.
Also they didn't tell me there would be a daily $30 valet fee....

The hotel overall was a pleasant stay (was only there for 1 night). Parking was simple and has a bar inside the hotel which is nice. Room was clean. When checking in, I thought it was odd that the front desk person did not engage in conversation. They asked for my ID and credit card and then handed it back to me with the room keys and that was it. They didn't reiterate the type of room I reserved or even where to go or what my room number was. Other than that, everything went smoothly.
