"We love the amenities for the children. There were plenty of activities for them. They loved feeding the ducks and fishes. It was a nice getaway from the city life. The nature around the hotel was relaxing and we enjoyed kayaking at Mission bay. We will definitely be back for more."

"This hotel is in National City, so it’s only a five minute drive to downtown San Diego, and the freeway entrance is 200 yards from the hotel. Also only a 10-15 minute drive to the border, if you want to go to Tijuana. Nicely landscaped around the lobby entrance, and they have a decent sized outdoor pool, and even a little putting green, if you have a child that’s a few years old. Don’t think it would interest a kid older than 8 years old! They have a small workout room, and I saw quite a few people taking advantage of it during our stay. They do accept pets for $25 per night, and have a small area with some grass and poop bags at the back of the hotel. They give you a ground floor room if you have pets, so don’t expect a view! The room is nice, and the beds are new and comfortable. A mini fridge and small microwave are also in each room. There is a restaurant in the parking lot, that is not affiliated with the hotel, but they will give you a 15 percent discount if you mention that you are staying at the hotel! Sorry, but I don’t remember the name, but you can’t miss it. The owner said he opens for breakfast mainly for the guests of the hotel, so please take advantage of it. The restaurant also has patio seating and allows your pet to sit with you there!!! Please mention to the hotel staff to notify guests that the restaurant offers a discount to guests of the hotel. The only way we found out was by conversation with the restaurant owner!!! Overall, a great stay."

"From check in to check out, the stay was great. The front desk personnel were helpful, courteous, and professional. There was quick on site food (and excellent coffee). The adjacent property had a restaurant and entertainment. The bed was very comfortable. The room was neat and clean. Housekeeping came by each day for light touch cleaning. The location was convenient to San Diego and Imperial Beach. "
