“A MUST STAY!! The Fox Den is by far one of the best places we have stayed! The attention to detail is amazing! The place seems as if it is brand new! Kitchen has everything you need, bathroom is well stocked and spacious and the beds are so comfy that I am planning on contacting the host for the brand! Loved playing PAC-Man and the outside area is a ton of fun!! We will definitely be staying here next time we are in town to see a show at the Purple Fiddle! ”

“This area is amazing! We missed the spring blooms by a week, maybe. But it was still so pretty. The property was exactly as described. Communication was slow, but I did get responses. The property was clean, but here were dead bugs, and I mean A LOT of dead bugs, on every window seal and on the floor under the windows. Lots of cobwebs too, but it didn't affect the stay. The beds were pretty comfy, there were plenty of towels. The firepit had one load of fire wood and that was it. I'd stay here……

“We had a wonderful week at this beautiful riverfront home! The ammenities are wonderful! The weather was quite rainy, but we caught some sunny times to enjoy the river between showers. The hot tub was great and we enjoyed shooting pool on the round table. Thank you to the owner for the prompt response in having a fallen tree removed! The tree fell during a storm and we were thankful no one was hurt and it did not damage the house or our vehicles. The nice man who removed the tree did quick work……

“We arrived at night to the cabin, trust the google map directions as clicked from the website. The key was in the lockbox as instructed and we were able to settle in nicely. When we woke up we were surprised to find an enormous green pasture behind the cabin with the river just behind the pasture. It was so beautiful! We enjoyed playing in the river, fishing, and chasing our dog. Mealtime in the screened-in porch was lovely. This week was a wonderful spring break getaway for our family in mid-……

“Lovely property in a small quiet town. No need to bring extra home items. It was well stocked. Close grocery store to pick up food and drink items. Blackwater Falls Park minutes away to enjoy or walk/run along town river path. Prompt response from owner with a question. Highly recommend!”

“The house has lots of space—really good sized rooms—and plenty of towels, linens, outdoor furniture and equipment, etc. to make your stay comfortable. Beautiful view of the mountains and incredible stars on a clear night. We stayed for my daughter’s graduation from JMU and it was close enough to be convenient.”

“A beautiful spot, the location was spectacular, other than the two mile trail getting to the house it didn’t help that it snowed the night before making it a little interesting getting down the mountain. The only thing I was a little bit sad with the American flag outside. It was very tattered. Being a veteran and a member of a VFW I dispose of it in a the proper way. We all enjoy our stay and it’s a beautiful place. ”
