“Not a new cookie cutter hotel, but an authentic carefully managed property with a personal touch. We especially enjoyed the comfort of the lobby where you can use your hotel room card to purchase a glass of wine or a 2 oz shot of booze. The name may be nordic, but I would call it Bavarian. The door in the bathroom was solid wood and the ceiling was wood. The breakfast room was thoughfully organized and the free breakfast was about as good as you can get without a cook. We live in Colorado……

“The Lodge at Mountaineer Square is a fantastic place to stay in Crested Butte. Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The location is perfect—right in the heart of the mountain. The rooms were exceptionally clean, and the beds were super comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day outdoors. “Overall, the hotel's environment and facilities and staff are good, but two things make me uneasy. Firstly, the bed is wrinkled, which gives the impression that someone has slept on it before, although the quilt looks new. Secondly, the bottom of the swimming pool appears dirty, making it impossible to determine whether the water is clean or dirty.”
